Hi folks!

Well, I'm back in the saddle again!!! (Litterally...my saddle needs help)!

I'm embarrased to say I fell far off the wagon, (dam bagels)... but I am giving it another try. 

Ok, so here we go!  I need to get back to the old picture of me up there in the corner!

I've missed you guys!

Yes, you see it...the ticker has moved 9lbs...IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!
I wasn't going to update my ticker...but I need to be held accountable and remind myself to get moving in the RIGHT DIRECTION!

I had stalled out for so long, my increased exercise wasn't moving things along, (although I do enjoy the running).  I think I just fell off track these last 2-3 weeks...Yes, you heard me,  2-3 weeks ~ 9 LBS!  WHAT THE HECK IS THAT! 

Thanks for listening... I have already beat myself up over it enough

Back to business... :)

I think I sweated off 5lbs today at my son's baseball tournament!  Thermometer measured 103 at 3:00 p.m.!

Hey guys,
Just checking in.  I've been gone for a while...So busy with the kids.  I don't have much time on the computer.  Mostly at work, but that's been crazy too.   My daughter and I have been travelling around looking at colleges.  How overwhelming for the both of us...but so much fun!

Haven't lost any, but haven't gained any either.  Running my 2 miles 4 times per week and the scale is staying the same.

I did recruit my brother-in-law to FTS though.  I hadn't seen him since Christmas and the "SHUT UP" (channelling Elaine from Sienfeld) after seeing my weight loss was a real ego boost for me   ;D   I'm excited he decided to get on board.  We are vacationing together this summer....I'm excited to see his progress.

I need to go through all the posts.  I hope everyone is well and doing great. 

Summer is almost here....it is acutally warm in New England!

Yes, I did!  What's up with this?  Since I started FTS, I recently learned that I do this once a month.  (because this is the third time i've done this and this is my third month). I eat everything in sight, no matter what it is...ice cream, candy... (swiss rolls  ::) )  Once I start, I can't stop.    

I tell myself that tomorrow I will get back on track...and I do get back on track...until next month...

This will cost me 2 hours at the gym tomorrow. 

OK...  Give it to me!  Tough Love!

General Discussion / Small Goals!

I thought I would share some of the smaller goals I have made since starting FTS...

I put on a pair of jeans I haven't worn since 2004!  They were really tight, but if I laid down on my bed and sucked in my gut, I could get them on!
Whoo Hoo! ;D

I don't have to lay down to put my jeans on anymore! 

I don't even have to unbutton them to take them off now! (and they are a 14 -- coming from an 18)

I dropped a shoe size!  Who knew you gained fat on your feet!? ::)

I can wear my favorite white blouse with buttons on the top of arms (and button the buttons) ;D

I can feel the bones in my butt when I sit on the bleachers watching my kids play sports (I didn't know I had a bony ass)  :o

I can cross my legs   :D

I can see the dimples in my face that my youngest son inherited from me!  (awww.....)

Just a few mini goals!

I have officially been FTS'ing since February 13 (2 months).  I have lost 20lbs!  Thank you Doug and Umpa for this book.  It changed my life!  :) :)

I made a really cool personal pizza last night. 

One La Tortilla Factor (small) tortilla (3)
Grilled Chicken Strips (2 or 3 cut up) (1)
Walden Farms BBQ Sauce (0)
and one mozzerella cheese stick (grated) (1)

I put it in the toater oven for a few minutes and it was so yummy.

One egg omlette with small sprinkle of shredded cheese (2)
Two Sausage patties (0)
coffee  (o)

Lunch
Three ham, cheese and turkey rollups (0)
one package (1.5 oz) Planter's smoked Almonds (3)
        (8 Carbs minus 5 fibers = 3)   I found my snack!, prepackaged and counted for me!


Dinner:
Probably the same salad with chicken as yesterday (6)

Snack
#1     SF Jello

2 snapple diet iced tea
2 seltzers (as of 1:35 pm.)

General Discussion / I'm starting over

Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while in an effort to not bore everyone to death with the dreaded "my scale has not moved in a month" post.   

So, I am starting over.  Tomorrow is officially DAY ONE! (AGAIN)

Somehow I got lost in the belief that "well, I was probably eating 200 or more carbs per day before, and cutting it to 20 will definitely help me lose the weight."  I lost 13lbs in about 3 weeks. Then my mind crept to 25 or 30 carbs is still lower than 200+ and I should still lose weight. Plus I exercise 3 days per week (sometimes more if I can fit it in = burning approx. 500 cals. per workout).  I'm not losing anymore, just staying the same (thankfully). Before I creep up its time to re-focus. 

I am re-reading FTS and will begin my new day tomorrow.
