malitol

So I'm a bit confused. Is malitol bad for you? I tasted it and it's yummy. This would only be use once on awhile n not always. Opinions.

It is yummy Alex...LOL  I'm not sure of any health issues other than tummy problems.    They use it in many of the SF stuff like candies and chocolates.  Maybe someone else will know more??

Sf product have given me gas but malitol alone doesn't give me any issues. I only use when I make omm that is once in a while. I was thinking of making a sf maple omm.  I bet it would be yummy. Thanks yall

Everybody is different Alex.I don't use malitol to cook with but I do  occasionally buy  products that have malitol.Most of my  products that I buy the sweetner is xylitol. Like Marty if I eat too much malitol it makes me sick.

does xylitol have an after taste? Also, do they sell it in liquid form?

I love NOW brand xylitol.You can get it at any health food store that sells Now brand vitamins which is about all of them.It has the same consistency as sugar and it is wicked good for your teeth! It is alot sweeter than sugar by 50 % so a little goes a long way.I haven't looked for it in liquid.No aftertaste

I buy NOW brand of Xylitol (large bag) from Netriton.  I  use it in my OMM.
