1/2 cup heavy cream
8 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
salt& pepper
Preheat oven to 350 spray 2-2 1/2 quart dish
Mix hamburger meat and bacon together ,press into bottom of dish ,set aside .
Combine all other ingredients & mix very well. Pour over beef & and bake 30 minutes or until top is brown and set . Let cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting
I got 4 servings at close to 3 carbs per servings .
This very good just like a cheese burger !

What did you have it with Jo?
It does sound good.....but my "old way of thinking" looks at it and just says....omg that seems pretty unhealthy!
-
i made a small salad
-
I made this twice already - my husband loved it!! Said it definately is a dish he could eat weekly....wants me to try with ground turkey or chicken and see how it comes out.
-
I missed this one! Think I'll try it tomorrow night. Thanks, Jo!
-
Glad yall liked it Rena let me know what you think !
-
What's not to love about anything like a cheeseburger!? Jo I am going to give this a whirl. Thanks. ;D
-
I'm pretty sure Hubs would like this one!! ;) ;) Thanks Jo!!
-
I added this up and got about 2 carbs. However, it says it's 836 calories per serving. Holy smokes! I know we don't count calories here, but I'm scared to eat this because it's so high. :-[ Sure I won't blow up like a balloon?
-
Rena I bet most of the calories are coming from the heavy cream.
I know what you are saying though. I don't usually look at the calories just the carbs but sometimes I wonder how it doesn't affect you. :-\
Jo do you think it would work as well with using unsweetened almond milk? I'm thinking it might not be as creamy though....
Just a thought. Maybe even just water it down half and half.....
I think I will try this one tonight ;D ;D
-
I made it in a 13 X 9 dish made 4 servings cause my hubby likes to eat ,but then I cut the others in half so I counted my serving as 2 carbs . I never did the calories I eat very light for lunch and breakfast anyway . Rena (825) that seems high for a serving . Toosweet I like it like it is I never thought to change it I would think it would not be creamy like you said but once it is cooked it is not juicey so it would probably be dry
-
I'm sure it's fine and I might not have even done the calculations right. If you're all eating it and still losing weight, then I would guess it's fine. I just saw the number and kind of freaked out -- ha ha. But that's just me and you all know I still 'look at' those c-numbers, although I don't really count them persay.
-
That is what I thought Jo. I will try it as written. It really does sound delish!! :) :)
-
Oh, okay -- a 13x9 dish would make a big difference. I was thinking quiche/pie pan and cutting it into 4 big sections. Maybe that's why it was so high. When I added it all up for 8 servings, I got 400 calories and only 1 carb.

That sounds more realistic. I use www.sparkspeople.com (http://www.sparkspeople.com) to convert recipes so I can add them to my food chart on FatSecret. I know the calories aren't an issue, but I still need to add them in order to put the food on my list. So ... ::)
Thanks again for the recipe, Jo! I'll have to give it a try tonight!
-
I have made this (3) times already!
YUMMY....last night I made with ground Chicken Breast and it was delicious!!
Actually a little creamier than with the beef.
Thanks AGAIN for the KEEPER recipe!!

I will have to try it with chicken ! Glad you liked it

We tried the Smaps. I like them but hubby not so much! Said he had to chew and chew ;D They are a quick breakfast (might be why I like them!).

Tried the cereal today. I thought 1/2 cup would never fill me up but I couldn't even finish it. It is very filling. I think next time I will eat 1/4 cup and add a little walden farms sf chocolate syrup and maybe it will remind me of a childhood favorite cocoa pebbles! Here's to kids and jammies! ;)
