I love Diet Coke, in fact am addicted to it I think.  Why can you only have 4 sodas a day when there are 0 carbs?

But also keep in mind you should be learning portion control.  You don't want to overindulge in any one thing.

Gary is correct, sugar alcohols and artificial sweeteners do effect people differently, some folks are hyper sensitive to them and will get a blood sugar spike, just ask Beebs what happens to her when she consumes too many  :o. If your weight loss stalls start cutting out those products and see what happens.

Welcome to the forum mom2jjl!

I'm one of those that is a bit sensitive  :-\  so be careful.  If you notice a stall you might have to cut back for a while.  So glad you came to join us  ;)

Welcome to the FTS family, mom2jjl!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Yes!... You can enjoy your Diet Dew.
But like you've read, be careful with it.

For some, weight loss progress will slow or stop dead until they reduce (or eliminate) them.
In fact, Doug recommends that they be the first thing to remove if you hit a major stall out.
So watch how your body responds to them and go from there.

Remember that what is important is that you are taking steps to make your body healthier!
And good health is a prerequisite to a happy life!

Looking forward to hearing about your FTS journey! ;D

I haven't had my beloved Diet Pepsi for about 2 weeks. I think it stalls me, since for some people the body expects nutrition when it tastes the sweetness and releases insulin, which gets stored as fat if not burned off. Something like that.  ::)

Welcome  :) :) :)

I love diet coke and I make sure I have one or two a day which is a lot less than I use to drink before FTS.  I think it makes me hungry for carbs, like popcorn, bread, or potatoe chips that's why I cut back.  Cutting back helped me to control my cravings.  Love to have you with our family.  You will LOVE this forum, they really help me a lot. 8)
