YUMMY!!! ;D ;D ;D

I bet chopped crab meat would be good in this, too! 8)
In fact, you could other seafood (shrimp, fish etc.) and make a New England style bouillabaisse! :) :)

I think I'll experiment with this later in the Fall!

Hi, Joe! :)

It's true that some folks don't include the carb counts when posting recipes.

Looking up carb counts on your own has a lot of value.
It's like looking up an unknown word in the dictionary.
If look up the word, you' re more likely to remember it than if you're told.

Here are a few carb count sites I use for carb look ups;

Thanks for the giggle   ;D    It's a great story that is for sure.  Diabetes doesn't have a chance with this lifestyle.  Tony's story is much like many of us.  It didn't take me long to figure out that FTS was way better than taking all the medicine.  Fat To Skinny gave me my life back  ;) ;)

Hi, Joe! :)

When I started the FTS lifestyle, I was type II diabetic with high blood pressure and too much bad cholesterol and high triglycerides. I was taking FIVE different prescriptions to "manage" all this.

About six months later, my doctor declared that I was no longer type II diabetic!
And the other conditions were (and still are) well within normal ranges.
And I'm totally thrilled that I no longer take ANY prescriptions!!! ;D ;D ;D

Hi Joe, you can get GG by mail from several locations

http://www.brancrispbread.com/ (http://www.brancrispbread.com/)

http://www.amazon.com/GG-Bran-Crispbread-3-5-ounce-10/dp/B003R1EHJ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367501203&sr=8-1&keywords=gg+bran+crispbread (http://www.amazon.com/GG-Bran-Crispbread-3-5-ounce-10/dp/B003R1EHJ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367501203&sr=8-1&keywords=gg+bran+crispbread)

Why are you taking prednisone??  I hate that drug... check out the side effects here
http://www.hopkinsvasculitis.org/vasculitis-treatments/prednisone/ (http://www.hopkinsvasculitis.org/vasculitis-treatments/prednisone/)

Check with your doc to see if there's another option for you.

Joe,

I ordered mine from Netrition.com.  I also ordered their Fiber Rich Plus crispbreads.  They are similar, but the ones with sesame seeds do taste a little better to me than the straight up bran crispbreads.

On a side note, this was my first order from Netrition.com, which I know has many fans here on the forum.  Turns out they are located about 15 minutes from where I live.  Love to support local businesses (even if they are only web based).

Hi, Joe! :)

One very nice thing about Netrition.com is that they charge $4.95 for shipping (to the lower 48 states) no matter the size of the order! ;D

For that reason, when I order form them, I usually stock up on lots of stuff at the same time (like black soy beans).

I love this recipe. Mary wants me to make a low carb Clam Chowder for her. I was thinking of adding diced jicama  to replace potatoes I see in clam chowder recipes.

Joe prednisone  will make you gain weight.Remember Jerry Lewis? He was stick thin until he was put on prednisone .Then he ballooned up to over 250. There has got to be a better medication for you.I look forward to getting to know you.I will watch for your recipes ;)

Ok my first recipe.   Joes not potato pancakes.   1lg zucchini 2/3 large white mushrooms.
Grate zucchini and mushrooms. Wrap in a towel and wring out all the water that u can. Put in a bowl and add 2 eggs , 2/3 tbs soy flour, salt and pepper to taste , maybe a little cayenne, mix well   In a fry pan , preferably a non stick ,I use an orgreenic which I love. Some olive oil and a bit of butter. Spoon in a lump of the mixture and press to about 3/4 in thick and fry till brown and crisp turning only once. Salt when hot and serve with sour cream. I'm going to try this with jicama I'll let you know
