Luv, luv the Katary Pizza!!   :D :D

The first 3 times I made it, there was a quite a bit of oil.  Not sure if it was the cheese slices, pepperoni or both.  The next time I used shredded cheese, but still had puddles of oil.

The most recent Katary Pizza was not pepperoni, but a ranch/bacon/chicken pizza. I lined the fry pan with parchment, added a little olive oil, then cheeses, meats, etc.  I cooked on low temp - it turned out great with very little oil and the crust was golden brown.  Next time, I may just Pam the parchment without the oil.

Beebs – maybe this method might work for you in your non-nonstick pan.  Although I might Pam the pan (just in case any cheese oozed out of the parchment) first, then add oiled parchment, followed by ingredients.  Just a thought...  :)

It's a good idea so spray the pan, but you shouldn't need to add oil because of the oil in the cheese and other toppings.

Guess I'm confused... (nothing new). I thought the reason you couldn't get the pizza out was because you did not have a non-stick, non-teflon pan.

I read somewhere that high heat and Pam lifts the teflon off your pans.

Last week I bought a Giada De Laurentiis nonstick fry pan - the paperwork said not to use a spray coating (use olive or peanut oil if necessary) and not to cook on heat higher than medium.  I spray my older frypans because food sticks (like my Katary Pizza), but maybe thats why it sticks cuz I use Pam??  :o :o

Go back to the first post on this topic and try this recipe that Gary came up with. I've tried it and I like it very much. It's a great way to have pizza without any kind of bread at all :)

Hi, Ellie! :)

I used to worry about cholesterol, fats, calories, etc..
But there is recent evidence that health problems thought caused by these is NOT true!

The problem is elevated blood sugar (glucose).
High glucose causes arterial inflammation, which causes many health problems.

Avoiding high blood sugar levels is the main goal of the FTS lifestyle.
In doing this, we not only get healthier. But skinnier, too! ;D ;D ;D

Of course, as in all things. moderation is key!
We never want to eat too much of anything.
