Hi Aly, time for your first FTS school project
I want you to look at every label and calculate all the carbs in your new recipe. Here's how you figure your carbs,
first- check the carbs listed on the label, now subtract any fiber and sugar alcohols
that may or may not be listed....that will give you "net carbs" (carbs-fiber-sugar alcohols = net carbs) NOTE:- Sugar Alcohols are not SUGAR, they are the sugar replacement in sugar free products and have little glycemic effect. Make sure NOT to subtract SUGAR...
Secondly- check the serving size and make certain to multiply the number of servings you used times net carbs....write it down and go to the next product.
Finally add it all up and you'll know the total carbs for the entire recipe......now divide by recipe servings too determine how many carbs you'll be eating per serving.... report back
