Hey sweet lady!! I am back, really never left, just have been silent for a while! lol
I have started growing sprouts in my kitchen with the kids and love them on, in and as my salad (if I have no other greens)! My question is: are the sprouts high in carbs, or are they ok!?! I usually have a romaine salad with 1/2 cup each alfalfa, broccoli, and red clover sprouts w/ 1T. olive oil and balsamic vinegar and I was double checking that the carb count for the sprout part isn't too high!?!
Trying to go more toward vegetarian and less meat, so am looking for alternatives!!
Thanks for your help!

I wondered what happened to you.

Thanks Tony!! I missed chatting with you too! :D
Gained quite a bit of weight back, which, if I'd "fallen off the FTS wagon", that would be expected, but I didn't...just making portion size mistakes, I guess! Whatever the case, I'm here now and will continue to work on my weight and overall health!! :)

Hi, MommaB! :)
Remember, FTS is really about getting healthier. The weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/) is a natural byproduct of it.
You've lived the reason why you hear us talk so much about portion control.
It is just a important as carb control to progress and maintenance.
This is because our metabolisms use a process called gluconeogenesis.
With it, our bodies will produce blood glucose from foods that are low or no carb.
If we eat too much, our bodies behave much the same as when we eat sugar.
Although, the sudden 'sugar spike' does not occur like with high-carb stuff,
our glucose will rise an stay elevated for a long period which puts our bodies into fat storage mode.
You'll be back to a healthier you before you know it! ;)
And we'll help ya get there.
