Title: Beanit Butter
Post by: Mimzy on April 06, 2011, 11:14:51 PM
I am having a hard time finding Beanit Butter,  I have found it on Amazon but they are always out.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might find it?

netrition is usually about $2 cheaper than Dixie Diner...but when Dixie has it's good discounts and deals...it could actually be cheaper...just have to watch them both!!!

Good luck!   :D

We buy from Dixie, every so often they offer free shipping and Umpa buys a case at a time.

I know a lot is said on here about Beanut Butter. I have not tried it but someday I plan to try it. But anyway I want to let everyone know of a similar product. It’s also a SoyNut Butter (imitation peanut butter made from soybeans) and it’s called, “I.M. Healthy Unsweetened Creamy Soynut Butter. It has only one net carb per 2 Tbsp. and most importantly I find it to be delicious. It’s $4.56 with free shipping on at Amazon if you buy a 6 pack at the link below:
http://www.amazon.com/I-M-Healthy-Unsweetened-Creamy-Soynut/dp/B000HDL1NU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1304979093&sr=1-1 (http://www.amazon.com/I-M-Healthy-Unsweetened-Creamy-Soynut/dp/B000HDL1NU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1304979093&sr=1-1)
I get it at my local Stop & Shop supermarket for $5.29 each. I bet you could get it at a discount supermarket like DeMoulas Market Basket for under $5 or less.

I just checked prices online for the Carb (NOT!) Low Carb Beanit Butter and found the cheapest I could get to try it right now is:

Netrition $7.09 plus $4.95 (cheapest) shipping = $12.04
Dixie Dinner $9.18 plus $9.99 (cheapest) shiping = $19.17

I guess i'll wait until one of them has a free shipping deal going again. I love that's it's zero carbs, and I am dying to taste it

Netrition has the I.M. Healthy Unsweetened Soy Nut Butter for $5.29 each.

I've gotten the I.M. Healthy 1 carb soynut butter before. That's one I can find locally. After trying it though, I found I preferred Beanit Butter over it, but it's nice to have the other when I can't make an online order.

There is a lot about comparing price between the Beanit Butter and the I.M. Healthy, but what about taste.  I know taste preferences differ, but is there general agreement on which tastes better (or at least more like peanut butter)?

Yes, I have seen the IM Healthy in the grocery store, (along with some other soy nut butters with sugar added).  I guess it is worth a try.  I never liked sweet peanut butter, so it sounds like a winner to me.

I Like the IM better as well, I mix the IM with a jar of Smuckers all natural a bit of Zero and some ground edamame for crunch  8)

I bought a jar of the IM Healthy.  It is quite good.  I see on their site that they have a crunch version.  Would like to try that as well but my grocer only carries the smooth.  Perhaps they will order the crunchy for me.

They should be able to Mark  :)  Usually if a store has a certain brand on it's shelf, it can order any in that line.  I'm so glad my local grocer finally started carrying more low carb things.    :D

My experience is that if you ask they will carry it if they are already stocking the brand ;)

The "chunks" were weird.
