Hi all. My husband and I have started the "Fat to Skinny" plan, and I have a question about being anemic. I have been anemic all my life. I take 4 iron pills a day, morning and evening. If I don't, I get real weak, and feel like I can sleep for a month. I feel real drug out. Will the diet maybe get me off of the iron pills? Or have any affects on my iron? I really don't want to take iron for the rest of my life, but was just wondering if there were any alternatives to takeing pills?

Hi Stephanie my name is Umpa I am dougs wife, nice to meet you.I understand being anemic our daughter Haley Rae is anemic.Your answer for iron is leafy green veggies like spinach,collards,etc. and rare steak  .Liver is also very high in iron.You shouldn't come off the supplements until you level out.All of these are very low in carbs.You are probably still detoxing from removing the carbs.When I first removed sugar it was worse than when I quit smoking i felt like i was coming out of my skin! If you looked at me wrong i would rip your face off!It takes about two weeks to level out.You are probally not having a sugar low but carb withdrawals.Remember the reason The fat to skinny plan works is because we replace all your favorite foods, we dont take them away!So feel free to use "Ask Umpa "on the forum that goes directly to me.Stay in touch.Umpa
