Hi everyone, I just started the Fat to Skinny lifestyle; D I am a big milk drinker and when I went food shopping last night I spent a lot of time reading all of the labels to every item I put in my cart. I just could not get over how much sugar was in the milk that I drink! I just wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion on better milk that would fit this program. Thanks :)

Hiya Powder!  Welcome!  You can use Almond milk or Coconut Milk - make sure to check the labels and get the unsweetened.  With some searching you can find the unsweetened in plain, vanilla or chocolate.  Most stores have them in the fridge area by the regular milk but also check around; there's usually shelf stable somewhere in the store as well.   :)

Milk will definetly stop your weight loss  :o water down heavy cream or use unsweetened almond milk.  ;)

I also went through this when I first started the FTS, I wsa just plain amazed how much sugar there was in milk, I think that was harder to give up then my starches!

I will have to look for coconut milk, I love the almond milk. sometimes I buy the unsweetened chocolate stuff and put a packet of Stevia into a glass...mmmmmm:) I also use the almond milk in my coffee.

Welcome Powder! I am umpa,dougs wife.If I can help you please ask.i have a column on the homepage called ask umpa where I can convert your favorite recipes to fat to skinny friendly.I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk on my cereal and in my ice cream mix. ;)

I would also like to add that it's important to drink LOTS of PLAIN water!!!.. At least 64 oz. per day.

Water is an essential element of health and will help with your weight loss.
It will help keep your digestive tract running normally.
It will help maintain your skin's elasticity so as to help avoid loose skin and flab as you lose weight.
It will help you determine if you've had enough to eat at mealtimes.
It will etc., etc..

NEVER allow yourself to become even mildly dehydrated.
This is not only unhealthy. But can stop your weight loss dead in it's tracks!
