Yesterday I sat up the screen saver on my computer to pull random pictures out of my picture folders. I have pictures in there from the last ten years or more. Some I haven't seen in ages but I have really been enjoying seeing all the old images. What I hadn't expected was to see pictures of me and actually notice such a difference. It'll be three years in March that I started my FTS journey and I have been maintaining now for over a year.
Anyway, I saw this picture come up yesterday of my cutiepie husband and I. It was very rare for me to let someone take a picture of me, let alone one that was almost full length. It is probably around five years old or so but what got me was how much heavier I was. When you are that size you never realize that you are that size. Then a picture came up of me that my husband took at Christmas last year and I couldn't believe the difference between the two.
So I thought...if you're on the fence about starting this lifestyle, if you're not sure and don't know if it will work...these pictures might just convince you. If I wouldn't have started FTS I would be in the exact same place as I was in the first picture.
We are about to start a new year...how about starting it with a new you!!

I too avoid allowing people to take my picture, especially full length. I am looking forward to the day when I no longer feel this way. Thanks Sherri for your inspiration.

I just wanted to post this so if someone like me is lurking and thinking about it...I want them to start now. I can't even imagine how different my life would be if I didn't try FTS. You all know I have tried EVERYTHING. This lifestyle works, it's not always easy and yes sometimes you want to throw that scale across the room, but it does work. So if you are thinking about, just do it..stop waiting...clear out those cabinets and become who you were meant to be. Start today..why wait!

I am starting FTS tomorrow. I had been at a low carb - low calorie weightless clinic and lost 47 pounds. I had to quit because it is too pricey. Because of the holidays, I regained 18 pounds. I am so ready to lose 60 pounds. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!! Today was a great day both in my eating and in exercising. Knowing that this forum is so supportive is a definite plus in making low carb eating a way of life, and not just a temporary solution.

Unlike diets that get more and more difficult to do, the FTS lifestyle actually gets easier and easier! 8)
The toughest part is switching "mental gears" away from the diet mentality and attitude toward fats and calories, and holding on to it.
There are many pressures in our culture that try to push us back into traditional "diet" thinking about fats, calories, etc.. But by renewing your commitment to FTS, this can be overcome.
I know I will NEVER go back to eating like I did before FTS... I enjoy it too much! ;)

thank you so much for sharing your pictures! I was down all last week after having my son take a "during" picture of me. After a 20 lb loss, I was still hard on myself. Your willingness to share your before and after has given me just the inspiration I needed to keep on. thank you again. you are a beautiful lady before and after!

Hi Rhonnie, FTS should now be a lifestyle for you which is exactly what it needs to be. This means that your weight will indeed continue to come off as long as you stay away from the evil carbs :o Try not to be in a hurry, instead recognize each day how much better you feel and enjoy your life ;)

Thank you Doug and Tony. I know you're right. I am so impatient with this weight. But that stall was because I had not counted carbs in my salads, veggies etc. I wanted them to be free :-[ lol now I check EVERYTHING. I did try a small choc chip cookie my son made. yuck. i felt sick afterwards. I'm glad it did that. Thanks again for the encouragement. it helps a lot!!

I've found that my body image has been improving faster since I've seen recent pictures of myself.
The more I see, the better it gets!... It just takes some time. :)

Sheri Pie you look terrific. I don't know where to go on this forum to chat with others or introduce myself like Doug stated in the CD YES YOU CAN.
I started this FTS on 5-1-2013 I lost 8 pounds the first week and then 1 then 0 then oz. I am usually under my carb and sugar for the day. Here I am at leas 6 weeks into the program and I only lost 11 pounds, what should I do.
My cousin lost 30 in 4 weeks. Please help me or direct me where I can go for support.
