How many ounces/pounds of mozarella equals 7 cups shredded?

Just noticed this...

With 7 large eggs, this recipe should have about 2.5 total net carbs.
But that's still VERY low. :) :) :)

Shouldn't we count the cheese too ? 1 oz =1 net carb ?

Hi Steph - cheese doesn't usually have any carbs.  Though apparently in the States if it is shredded it may have due to the starch? They use to stop if from sticking.  Check the
Nutritional  label to make sure.  Are your 2weeks up yet?

You are correct Morgan, shredded cheese has potato starch added to keep the cheese from sticking. Block cheese will be zero carb :)

Yes I found that out when I was stalled and after reading more carefully it was the startch in the shredded cheese that was stalling me. Although I though that one ounce of cheese was to be counted as 1 carb as a general rule.....although I could totally be making this up since having Juliana I some times feel absent minded hahah! but with that being said Tony my mozzarella I bought was 1 carb for 1 ounce and I used 24 oz gave me about 7 cups  ;D

Sometimes it's a little thing that become the biggest obstacle to our progress.
I'm glad you figured out that obstacle. :) :) :)

I use block cheese instead of pre-shredded to save carbs.
It's a little more work, but worth the carb savings especially for a recipe like this.

Yes I do the same. I bought two 12 oz blocks from my local shoprite and just shredded it myself

We do that too. I shred the cheese while my husband cooks. Works well :)
