FYI to anyone who orders from the Low Carb Grocery.  They have a new rewards program that started Sept. 1st.  I got this in an email from them:

"To celebrate the launch of our Membership Rewards Program, receive 1000 Welcome Bonus Points when you make your first purchase (minimum of $60 before tax and shipping) in the month of September (Welcome Bonus award is limited ONCE per customer account and will be credited to your account in October). Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter to be notified of Bonus points Promotion Events! "

https://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/catalog/rewards.php

Earn Points
The program is simple - Earn 10 points for every whole dollar spent. During special promotions, you may earn more points per dollar or bonus points on select products.
Note: Rewards program start date is September 1, 2010. All orders placed on or after this date will earn points.

I keep track in a notebook too, just to be sure I don't go overboard.  If I've eaten something and my blood sugar has gone up, I highlight what I had eaten and try not to eat it again or eat it in moderation.  I do walk, go to the gym and ride my bike, but it is hit and miss, never seems to be on a regular basis.  As far as keeping track through a website, I think if you let the computer do all the work you will not learn what to eat if your computer is not right in front of you (just my thought though).  Good luck!

Owensmath, I didn't know what Krystal Burgers were so I googled them.  Your version sounds so much better than theirs.  Looking at the picture it is all bun with a little sliver of a pattie.  My tastebuds must have changed because I have no desire to eat something that the main part is the bun and bread products used to be what I craved.  I'll have to give your recipe a try.

Well, it was 2 months yesterday since I started FTS and have now taken off 20.5 pounds.  I am now at my half way point, although I may decide that I don't need to get down as low as I had originally thought.  I'll know the weight I want to be when I get there.

I had a great week.  It seems to be getting easier because in he past I would have given up at this point.  We went to 50th birthday party on Friday night and I went prepared with some pork rinds and SF candy in my purse.  I didn't need to get them out, but they were there if I needed them.  They served pizza and wings which was great.  I enjoyed the wings (without the blue cheese) and picked the cheese and pepperoni off the top of the pizza and threw out the crust.

The next day we were at a luncheon after a funeral and I put a Low Carb Bar in my purse as backup but didn't need it.  They had out platters of sandwiches, cheese and veggies.  It was simple, I ate cheese and veggies and picked the ham off the little sandwiches.

I just love that there is always something we can do while out, rather than sitting and watching everyone else eat and hoping that our willpower holds out.  Have a great week everyone!!!

How did you do that?  Mine kids have left and come back a few times.  At least my daughter just came back with a puppy and not a slew of kids!
