She has lost forty or so pounds so far and I am so proud of her!  Her favorite recipe is IZZET's fluff...She doubles the recipe and only uses one box of sugar-free strawberry Jello.  She sure is looking pretty in her outfits.  Everything she has lost has stuck on me though.    Too much homemade spagetti with tomatoes from the garden.  I am trying to workout more doing Zumba, drinking plenty of water and green tea...I even like it without sweetner if it has pomagranite in it or other fruit flavors.   I am not going to change my ticker until I lose 20 pounds.   I only weigh once a month now.  Low carb really is the key to tameing the sugar dragon.  I am so glad that I gave my sister the copy of Fat to Skinny Doug and Umpa sent me.  She is my inspiration. ;)

Boil 4 egglands best eggs and peel while warm...mash with fork , open a can of Underwood's Deviled Ham and mix together. Great on GG crispbread or other crackers that are low carb.  For a fancier variation add mayo and sugar-free pickle relish to taste.  Enjoy :)

General Discussion / Re: Mini Donut Baker

TooSweet, those look good enough to take to a Christmas Party.  I regret that I haven't had time to use mine yet but will soon.  I have been seeing a commercial for Macy's on television that shows the mini donut makers on sale.  It will be nice to use in the summer time and not have to heat up the oven.  They also make great gifts.

You set a goal for yourself and achieved it.  I am so happy for you Sherri!  I knew that you would do it.  I can't wait to see your television debut in January.  I will have to watch the live feed on the internet.  You are such an inspiration.  I know that With FTS you will be able to maintain the body of your dreams....I wish you continued success!

This week Walmart has mini donut bakers on sale for $14.88.  These sit on the counter top and bake 7 mini donuts and when they are through baking a light indicates that they are done.  I tracked down a Walmart that has them in stock and bought one as a Christmas gift to myself.
I am really excited to try the chocolate donut recipe out of the bakery book tomorrow.  I will report back to let you know how they turn out.  I do believe that they will remain on sale until Saturday.

I used to be fond of crab wontons myself.  I ocassionally treat myself to Chinese Buffet....but I try to make wise choices like baked fish and shrimp and crab.  I pack a takeout tray and make two meals off of it.  Make sure you keep your sugar under 5 grams as well.  You can and will get to your goal.  I have faith in you.  Keep working out on that Total Gym.

I found another recipe that I think is suitable for Halloween and FTS friendly.

Deviled Nuts

1 pound shelled pecans, walnuts, or peanuts
1/3 cup melted butter or magrerine
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt

Heat oven at 300 and place nuts in shallow baking pan.  Combine remaining ingredients.  Pour over nuts.  Stir well.  Bake 20 minutes, stirring several times.  Let cool on thick paper towels.  Store in airtight jar.  Makes a nice packaged treat or hostess gift.

Tony...you should use the brown sugar substitute, maple syrup will not work.  Toffee has a certain consistency.
I do admit it was tough finding a candy for halloween.  So many of the recipes call for confectioners sugar.  I will look some more.  Maybe I will find another one to enter as well.  I am suprised that there have not been many entries.  Maybe somebody else will find a new candy recipe for Halloween.

2 fully ripe avocados
1/4 of an 8 oz. lowfat Philadelphia cream cheese

Mash avocados in bowl and add remaining ingredients, mix well.

This is good with pork skins or on GG BranCrispbread.
