Why drive 4 hours?- http://www.netrition.com/low_carb_tortillas_page.html
To order 10 packages of tortillas ($33) and ship to Canada the shipping would cost $28.15 plus whatever customs are added at the border.
Of course I don't make a special 4 hour trip just to buy a bag of tortillas, but I still want to be careful with them and not waste them.

To all you clever people who have mentioned cutting La Tortillas into wedges and baking them in the oven to get chips/crackers:  What do you do?
Put the wedges on a cookie sheet - do you spray the sheet?
What heat for the oven?
How long in the oven?

For me to make a round trip to a store that carries La Tortillas involves 4 hours of driving, so I don't want to waste any precious tortillas by experimenting.

Many thanks.

Saturday again. No loss to report this week. The scale is going to move soon, I just know it.

HAHA! Last week I said the scale was going to move - little did I know where it would move to!  My husband absconded with my scale and has taken it to the barn to weigh feed bags, so I haven't been able to weigh myself.   :(  I've heard of husbands hiding a scale, but not stealing one. If it doesn't re-appear soon I'll have to go hunt for it. I'll be lucky if all I have to clean off it is feed chaff and mouse poop, might be much worse. Stay tuned for the continuing saga of the kidnapped bathroom scale.

Saturday - these weeks roll by so fast! Down another 1.2 pounds this week for a total of 60.2 pounds. The weather has warmed up alot lately (now around plus 10 fahrenheit) so I might be able to go for a walk outside without having to wear so many layers that I can't actually move!

Thanks, everyone, for your encouragement. I realize that if I hadn't lost 60 pounds in the past 7 months, I would have likely gained another 10 or 20, so FTS is a double win!

Hi owensmath; When you make chicken tenders with flaxmeal, what spices do you add? Sounds like a great idea!

Jan. 23/11
Each morning I measure out 64oz. of water and drink it during the day to be sure to get in all of my water.

What a great idea - that's a 2 litre jug in the frig and it has to be emptied every day.  That's on top of fluids in tea, coffee, SF pop etc. I'm going to try that.

Congratulations, becky! I wouldn't call 2.6 pounds a small amount for one week, it's wonderful progress. Loss will vary weekly and sometimes will be frustrating but FTS will see you through.
A suggestion:  when you make your ticker the last question asked is Background Option light or dark.  If you click "dark" then your ticker will show up better on the forum. ;)

Good news! The nutritional information says that one stick of gum has 2 carbs - 2 sugar alcohol = 0 net carbs.

Hi Richard, and welcome to the forum. I would say you're doing everything right! Congratulations on losing 33 pounds in 3 weeks, that's amazing. The first few weeks are often the biggest loss per week, so it would be natural for it to decrease a bit as time passes, but 11 pounds per week average so far is great! If you think of Fat To Skinny as a lifestyle choice rather than a diet then you will be well on your way to a healthier you.
