Lean On My Shoulder / Re: 7 months on FTS

You are doing great.  As long as you view this as a lifestyle instead of a diet you will continue to be successful.  I can't wait to see how much I can lose in seven months,  probably a small person.  This is only my fourth day and I can already feel a difference in my energy level.  I wake up in the morning ready to go.  FTS is definately a God send.  Wishing you continued success as you get closer to your goal. :)

Von FTS is the answer to your problem.  Set up a ticker and get through a week of detox.  It only gets easier as you find foods that you enjoy each day that are low carb and low sugar.  You can do this ;)

Thank you Tony :)  I know that this will be the year that you hit your weight loss goal.  I am hoping that everyone will be successful.  And for those that have alot more weight to lose than I do I pray that they will not be discouraged by that and make this the year that they take better care of themselves.

I made this last night to snack on during my detox.  I used strawberry jello.  It is really good.  If you haven't tried this recipe you should.

I have decided that 2013 is the year that I will achieve my weight loss goals and live a healthier life.  This is not a resolution but a commitment that I am making to myself so that I can improve the quality of my life.  I have every faith that I can be successful with Fat To Skinny and the support of the forum. I challenge others to weigh themselves and take their measurements and Follow the guidelines in Doug's book and watch the magic of a total transformation of their appearance and health.  Let's all make this the year that we finally achieve our goals.  Happy 2013!  ;)

I usually average 10 pounds a month.  But I am content just to be losing and really do enjoy the way I eat.  Drinking alot of water is very important.

I am so glad that you are taking control of your weight.  It definately will creep back on if you do not.  Has your mother-n-law read Fat to Skinny.  Maybe that would convince her to eat low carb low sugar.  Remember you are in charge of what you put in your mouth.

General Questions / Re: favorite low carb grocery store snacks

This is a snack that I sometimes use for a meal.  I take low sodium zero carb pepperoni and a slice of 0 carb cheese ....place the pepperoni on a plate and break up the slice of cheese into small pieces and nuke in the microwave for 1 min. Real quick in a pinch.

Have you tried clicking on someone elses ticker and making a brand new one.  That is my best idea...I am not very good with computers.

Have you tried pre measuring out your portion sizes in conjunction to your 20 grams of carbs a day and 5 grams of sugar a day.  I t helps me out a lot especially when eating vegetables.  I made guacomole and could sit back and eat the whole bowl with porkrinds. I made myself leave the fried pork rinds in the store because I knew that I would have a problem with my portion sizes.  I measured out a half a cup of guacomole and dipped vienna sausages in it instead.  I ate that for lunch instead.  You can get past it ...kudos for acknowledging what gets in the way of alot of us losing as much as we should.

I am making this for lunch today and am excited because I have yellow ,green and red peppers.  I bought a stockpile of tuna yesterday at dollar general.  It is just regular tuna in water and I am going to mix cheese in with the tuna and mayo.  I might even have a few to freeze.
