Enough said - out they go.  I will make my own batch biscuits from the fts bakery and use them.  At least I will know it's all natural.  And my chocolate  :'( :'( :'( :'( well  :'( :'( :'( only when I can stand it no longer and need to have a piece.
There is an old saying (well maybe not that old) 'beauty knows no pain' and believe me the giving up of chocolate will be painful.  sighhhhhhh

Will see how this works out, if these two products are my problem.

Rather than recycling the wonderful recipes on the forum how about a new and original christmas recipe, be it entree, main or (our favourite) dessert.  Or prehaps an edible christmas gift (christmas brownies, biscuits, cake).

And done.  Coincidence? - surely not.   ;)

They are made by the Sugarless Company (sugarlessco.com)  a sugar free vanilla wafer about 1-1/2 times the size of a gg cracker.  Bit like an ice cream cone/wafer.  Ingredients - wheat flour, vegetable fat, maltitol, lactitol, vanilla 1%, soy lecithin, salt, sodium bicarbonate - 0.024c/4g (1 wafer).

We don't have maple or sugar cured bacon here that I have come across anyhow.  It is pork bacon and it is all the same (well obviously not same as carb counts differ) meaning that it is not 'fancy', just boring prepackaged bacon rashers.  I agree TooSweet - I keep forgetting to check labels when I pick up something I have used consistently, because they do change the info with no warning at all.  Oh well more time spent in the refrigeration section reading all the labels.
Thanks all.

Hey scott - I officially weigh monthly, but do hop on the scales whenever I feel the need - realising my weight fluctuates due to water, etc.  It gives me an indication of what's happening.  I tried putting them up on the top of the cupboard where I couldn't reach, but got desparate and dragged them down.  Now I just try to ignore them and only threaten them on weigh days  ;D

And Doug, I have analysed my portions and try to keep them 'average'.  I reviewed the post you suggested.  I only eat raspberries and strawberries as fruit and that maybe every 2-3 weeks.  If I buy a punnet (250g) it is usually eaten over 3 days.  I feel I might be eating too much cheese which I am aware of and try to keep an eye on that. I slice parmesan cheese really fine and just have slivers when I get the urge - daily.  Vegies may be 1/2 - 1 cup daily (but then again I may skip a day totally) and are usually broc, cauli, spinach, red pepper, mushroom or zucc.  Nuts are only maccadamias and are limited to 20g and not on a regular basis.

Sugar alcohols in SF choc (8-20g) I'd like to say every couple days, but honesty tells me almost daily.
When I work nightshift about 3 times/week I take 4 SF wafers with peanut butter.

I tell myself to move more, but after a nightshift I feel exhausted.

I drink approx 5 cups of coffee a day (I don't count carbs for that as I only use 1/3 tspn measure in a teacup).

Been wondering if I should swap to decaf and skip all sugar alcohols (and in desperation cheese) and see if one of them might be doing the damage.

If someone could help.  The carbs in bacon - everyone here treats bacon as 0 carbs.  On the packaging here in Australia the carbs are variable to say the least.  I was buying one brand when I read the labelling and it stated that 100g was 1.2c (I was blissfully thinking all bacon was 0), be that as it may I was quite willing to add it to my daily carbs (along with the heavy whipping cream/pure cream here which is 0.6 or 0.7/20ml - unlike yours at 0 carbs) - all these incidentals just add up during the day I tell ya.  I bought a different brand yesterday thinking it would be same carb count - silly me  :P  this one states that 100g is equivalent to 3.7 carbs (there is no dietary fibre listed on either to subtract   :( ).
The calories, protein, fat, etc are almost identical between the 2 brands, also the ingredients.  I did learn an interesting fact though - who would have thought they put sugar in bacon?  not I.  Listed as the 4th ingredient is sucrose (cane sugar).

Am I missing something here? or do I just go by the labelling?
Are Australia's packaging rules more stringent (picky picky picky) that they state in such detail?
Are they right or wrong.?   HELP HELP HELP

Accordingly - for all you who have low carbs for breakfast if you are having say bacon (0)and eggs (say 1 at 0.7), plus a cup of coffee (1) and cream (0) = 1.7 for me would be bacon (3.7) and egg (0.7) plus coffee (1) and cream (0.7) = 6.  A bit of a difference wouldn't you say.  No wonder my carbs add up so quick.

I so wish I could join you.  No matter how strict I am and I am - I usually do between 5-15carbs a day, it just doesn't drop off at such a quick rate.  I am a member of the Turtle Club along with Tony.  I am relying on the slow and steady wins the race creedo.  Good luck to you all though.

Can I get contact lenses printed with this on the inside? ;)

That would be so cool.  Pity I don't have contacts.  How about inside my glasses  :D

Welcome to the family B_mom19.  You have made a  great decision.  Everyone is here to help and everyone here has asked for help at one time or another.  Don't be afraid to ask for help, or praise, a shoulder to cry on or just plain vent about something that has annoyed or irritated you.

The best advice is to clear out all the stuff that isn't a help to you, but sometimes if you can't do that, do what I did - put all those things on one shelf of your pantry or one cupboard or even into a box and stay away from it.  Out of sight, out of mind.

Sit tight and enjoy the ride, you will do fantastic.

Could someone explain to me how instant coffee has 'sugar' (carbs) in it.  Do we or do we not count carbs in coffee?
Please help.
