Hi, cokiepop! :)

Plateaus are common on an FTS weight loss journey for most of us.
I've run into many along mine.

Stay the course rules as Doug describes in his book, and you continue to will lose weight.
But sometimes, just changing something like lowering protein and raising fat intake can create the "metabolic spark" you need to get your engine going again.

If you change things up and still are on a plateau in 3 weeks, post your menu plan so that we can "debug" it.

Hello Everyone.  I just received my book yesterday and started reading.  I'm looking forward to the journey.  I'm in my sixties and it's no longer just about vanity.  I feel awful everyday between the belly and feet swelling.  Doctor says I'm not diabetic but there are other things happening.  I don't want to have a stroke or heart attack.  It's long overdue to get really serious.

Welcome to the beginning of a new life, dmarie053!!! :) :) :) :) :)

I'm in my mid-60s and was told by my doctor in 2010 that if I did not do something, I might not be around much longer.

After I started living the Fat To Skinny lifestyle, everything began to change for the better in a big way.
Within about 6 months, my doc took me off all my meds for glucose, cholesterol, etc..

I'm still living this lifestyle today and will never go back.
I feel like I'm in my 30s and want to feel this way as long as I can.

If I can do this, you too can do it, dmarie053. :)

If you ever have any questions, concerns, or just need a little support, please let us know.

Lean On My Shoulder / Re: Canola Oil

Hi, Susie! :)

Allergy to canola oil is quite common.
I have a very mild allergy toward it. So don't feel alone.

I'm so happy to hear that you've met a nice man and have started dating.
Romance is important in our lives for good emotional health.
And I wish you the very best with it. :)

I hope Mary is doing well.
She's a wonderful young lady.

... And Tony, I never realized how easy it was staying 20 carbs or less! Like I told the Ole man, with his mom in the picture, you just never realized how much we were eating, because, we were always doing it, sad, but true.

It is easy, Stephanie!
I've been doing it for 6 years now.  :)

Welcome home, Stephanie!!!  :) :) :) :)

Without the added stress of a carb-pusher, you're life changing FTS journey will be so much easier (as it should be).

Hope to here more from you soon!

Unfortunately - no.

I've found also if companies do have international shipping it is absolutely outrageous.

hmm...wonder if i can make my own cereal.......

Hi, Morgan! :)

Others have been making their own cereals...

I did a quick Google search for "homemade low carb cereal" and found this near the top of the search results;

I cannot vouch for how they taste.
But some of them look pretty good.  :)

What's a smap?

Hi, Morgan! :)

Smaps are a cereal.
Here's a link to where I buy them.

Don't know if they're available down under.

Hi, Morgan! :)

Eating eggs everyday can get boring.
So I eat Smaps (soy protein) with almond milk and Zero & cinnamon to change things up now and then.

Hi, jetfan! :)

Nice to hear that your FTS lifestyle is going well.

Come August 10, it will be 6 years for me.
And I haven't looked back once! :)
