I am wearing clothes I have not worn in 4 years.  Put on a belt today that I never thought I would wear again.  I look HEALTHY!!!!  I feel so much better.  All of you stay the course...it works.

I feel great!  So much better than before.  Easily motivated for a little excercise and my will power toward "bad food" is growing stronger every day.  I have not fallen off of the wagon since I started!  I had a few days of cravings...but I don't have them anymore...I will admit that I think about new york style pizza every now and then!  I was unable to find La Tortilla Factory tortillas at Whole Foods in Raleigh, NC...and did not see them at walmart, although I thought they were distributor.

Have hit a small plateau on the weight loss, but my body is slowly changing shape.  I am wearing clothes that I could not wear before.  Feel much better about appearance.  Have been working out too....hoping that I am dropping fat, but gaining a little muscle.  I am down 20 lbs and have only lost about one pound per week for the last couple of weeks.  I am not concerned...I know if I keep eating the right foods, it will crank back up again!

Glad I could help!  I have received encouragement by visiting this board.  I want to do the same for others.  I am now down a total of 18 lbs in less than one month!

You are making a great choice!  Be healthy.  You can do this...it is not rocket science and it is not the hardest thing you have ever done in your life.  This is not dieting.  I am NEVER walking around with hunger pains!

OK..so, I have decided to move the goal posts on where I want to be with my health and my weight.  I orginally just wanted to get below 200lbs.  After dropping 15lbs in 3 weeks, I feel great!  I, like most, was thrilled during the 3-4 days stretches when I lost multiple pounds, and then "feeling low" when I would go 3-4 days and not lose anything....but, I really accept it now...as long as I keep doing what I am doing, I will produce, ultimately, progress in the same direction.  As a "former" athelete, I am not a huge fan of BMI.  My hours in the weight room mean that I should weigh more than someone with a "marathoners build."  I do,  however, think I need a more advanced goal.  So, today, I added another 15 lbs to my orginal goal.  That is a 50lb total weight loss.  I want to be healthy.  I have three daughters and a lovely bride.  I owe them, and myself, my efforts at "good health."

A 50 lb loss will be a 22% decrease in my body weight.  More important than an obsession with a particular number, I need to be healthy...and it is up to me....sooooo, I have updated my ticker - and my mindset.

I have a dear friend who introduced me to Doug's book.  He has lost 45-50 lbs and will lose another 50 before his 50th birthday.  He is my true friend and I am glad he talked with me about his efforts.  He is such an inspiration to me.
