Howdy Y'all

Buford here. Have any of you ever seen a white and tan peke with a purple snout, if
not I will take a picture of Princess next time she is on cleanup detail, the only reason
I don't have one is my mouth is bigger than the spoon this stuff is great for dessert.

I wonder could it be made into some kind of "CheeseCake" .

Hello Young Lady,

Here is an idea and you can do it so easily with FTS (Hope you have the booK).
Don't fight the dragon make a friend out of him. You snack at night SOOO, for
now no big deal.  Turn some of the great FTS menu items into smaller (very small)
snack items along with the great ideas Doug and all these fine folks will give
ya and trust me on this,  FTS will be a lifestyle not a diet.

Well best wishes on the journey to slimdom and better health.

"The Widowmaker", I just got back from a followup with my heart doc and she used that. She showed me a drawing of and pointed out where the blockages were. One of mine (30%)is in a leg of
"The Widowmaker" (past the junction of two arteries). Let me tell everyone, loose the sugar, the white products, the smokes and listen up to Doug and Umpa, you might just find you will live a whole lot longer and happier. FTS also means "Found the Solution"

Howdy Folks,

Been a little busy of late, sorry for not posting or replying. On to the story.

Last Monday, my VA heart doctor said a cardio CT Scan from a week earlier
had come back and things weren't looking good. A cardio cath was scheduled for
last Thursday with instruction not to wait if I had chest pains (even little ones) go
immediately to the emergency room in Jacksonville if possible to be admitted and
watched until my scheduled hearth cath on Thursday. 6pm last Wednesday I was on
the way to the emergency room, 1pm Thursday I was on the table in the cardio
cath lab (acting goofing from the meds), Friday morning the news.

You have three arteries feeding the heart muscle, my right was 100% blocked
at the stint location, but had grown numerous small bypass arteries, so it was
working at about 70% (good considering), middle one 30% blocked (ok for now)
and the left one was 100% open an going strong no plaque noted.

My doctors say low carb and low fat(we know there wrong here) may have just
saved my life. Am I going to stay with the FTS Lifestyle you betcha, I was FTS'ing
about a year before I found Doug, UMPA and FTS and I really believe it saved my
life. Now I'm still losing weight and know what I have to do (Stay a FTS'er for life)

Thanks Doug, you helped me dodge a big one for sure.

Hey Sarah,

"Starvation Mode" and "Starvation Dieting" are two different animals.

Starvation Mode is a bodily state where many of the bodily processes
slow down or stop entirely in reaction to a decrease in available food
sources(calories of any kind), the onset of this condition(Mode) varies by individual
it is not a diet or lifestyle.

A starvation diet is where you consume a level of food source which provide
much less than your body requires for normal body functions. I would never
advise this diet or lifestyle for anyone.

You are 100% correct, FTS is a replacement style low carb diet and lifestyle.
Following FTS should never and I say again never lead anyone into or even
near a "Starvation Mode" , there is just too much and too many great food recipes
and choices not to enjoy eating while losing weight. I know I sure have enjoyed
myself on FTS.

Doug,

You are 100% correct there are just to many ifs and the level at which
the "Starvation Mode" cuts in varies by 100's of calories and the time
it takes your body to reach said level, depends on your source of information.
However one thing is absolutely true,  no other lifestyle change as caused
so drastic and immediate weight lose for me as Low Carb and FTS is leading
the charge to move that viewpoint and lifestyle to the forefront.

One day some college who is not funded by "Big AG and /or Big Sugar"
will get it right and then FTS will mean (Found the Solution).
Please keep up your message and good works,  I am proud to know you
and UMPA and support you whole heartly.

Hello Neighbor,

Been there done that. When I started now 90 lbs ago I couldn't see my buttons at the
top of my pants. It is a great feeling just to be able to do that.

Tony , you and I are of the same opinion and it is well documented all over the
internet. I did a lot of reading and based my opinion on the documentation I found
there and one article in particular reinforced my strong belief in the low carb lifestyle.
The link to this article is below. There in the very first paragraph I believe the question is
answered why you can eat a normal calorie load and still lose weight living a low
carb lifestyle like FTS. This has worked for me and I assure all I don't count calories
and my meals are of normal size for a man of my size and body build and I am still
losing weight every week, however my carb load for a day is 20 grams or less everyday
without question. As always this is my opinion based on my own research
I will always welcome any discussion based on facts uncovered counter to mine.

I'm not sure of number of calories your body needs per day, but I do
know from pass gym and physical training I always heard if you consume
less than 1000-1200 calories per day your body will go into a starvation
mode and weight lose will stop and your energy level will take a serious nosedive.
Ask Doug's advise and option on this , he knows a lot more about this that I do
and has a list of experts he can talk to also.
