General Discussion / I Am Back ~ I Missed The Forum!
« on: June 22, 2015, 01:08:58 PM »
Hi All!
I left for awhile and have put on 10 pounds!  hahaha   In trying to simplify my life and computer usage I lost the support and wonderful recipe ideas that I enjoy so much at Fat to Skinny.  I can't wait to read through the forum for some wonderful recipe and health ideas.
Blessings!

Kinda random but I have a friend who has been begging me to cook Low Carb for her.  I finally said I would soooooo I prepare seven dinners for her every week that are ready to eat and explained to her what to eat for bfast and lunch options.  She lost 7 pounds the 1st week and says she already feels better and sleeps better!   She comes from a beans & rice & low fat mentality so it's going to be interesting.  I told her that I won't argue with her EVER about nutrition but if she does what I tell her to do she WILL lose weight and turn her health issues around.  Hope she sticks with it!  A side bonus is I'm getting paid to cook for her  :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day!

General Discussion / BEEF FAT
« on: March 06, 2013, 01:05:23 PM »
So.....I bought steaks that the butcher cut for me and he cut off a TON of fat which he was going to throw away.  I told him to bag it and I brought it home.  I thought I read somewhere that this can be really great to cook/fry with.  Is it tallow?  Looks like when I research it I can cook it until it liquifies and then use it when needed?  Kinda confused....

Does anyone know what I am talking about or have any suggestions??

Thanks!

Ask Umpa / Casserole Question
« on: October 30, 2012, 02:19:28 PM »
Hi Umpa,

There is a casserole that I want to make and it has a base crust thingy on the bottom that includes 2 cups biscuit mix (bisquick?).  Do you have a suggestion on what I could do instead?  It says to mix according to the box with water to make a dough and press on the bottom of the pan.

Thanks so much!!

You all might already have discovered this ~ This peanut butter is AWESOME  ~ 5 carbs in 2 tablespoons and 3 grams of fiber so the net carbs is only 1 carb per tablespoon and it is really, really good.

I enjoy shopping there and have started a list of items I like to purchase.  I also love their nitrate free applesmoked bacon.

Anyone else shop there?  If so, what are your favorite things?
