Ok guys....the results are in!!!! Just had a call this morning from the nurse who drew my blood yesterday. She said the Doc wanted her to call me with the results....A1C from 8.3 to 6.7, CBC normal, Blood Sugar 124, Potassium 4.3, Liver Function normal, Cholesterol  196, Bad Cholesterol 131, Hemoglobin 6.7 and finally Kidney Function normal.  :) She said the doctor wanted her to tell me that whatever I'm doing to continue doing it because they were really pleased with the results. 8)

So that combined with the small weight losses means I really am winning big time!

Go me!  :) :) :)

Thank you guys,

Umpa, the shake sounds like something I would like to be trying.  How much of each ingredient do you put in it please?

Sounds as though it would count as a complete meal or snack. It does have carbs, protein and fat in doesn't it?

Have replaced cabbage with raw spinach for my salads, plus if I make a smoothie I add spinach to that as well.

Glad to hear you're gaining sight in your eye again.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while.

Have been dealing with yet another shocking diagnosis.... Went to have my eyes tested, and came away with the diagnosis of Macular Degeneration! So me being me, started to look into foods I should be eating for eye health.  I have to take special vitamins for my eyes, but thought everything I can do nutrition wise I would do.

Even though there is no cure for this I'll  be doing everything I can to slow the process down, and keep smiling while doing it! :)

My weight is still in the 220's and coming down slowly, so it's still a win, win for me.

Hoping everything is going well for the rest of the FTS family  :) :) :)

Thanks Tony,

I know I will reach a plateau at some point, and I can deal with that it's par for the course, but it's just a bump in the road to a healthier me! :)

Plus as my clothes are becoming looser that is the real tell for me. But I really must get a tape measure, so I can keep track of the measurements.  ;D ;D

Another 1.4lbs down, a small step forward and a win!  :)  :)  :)

At my heaviest I tipped the scales at 256lbs, so for me weighing in this morning at 228.2 was an accomplishment! If I can lose 1lb a week I will be a happy camper. I set myself doable goals in 10lb increments, that way the finish line doesn't appear so daunting!  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Tony,

I'm sure the noodles stored in the air -tight container in the fridge certainly won't last more than a day or two at the most!  ;D ;D ;D

Hi Doug,

I had planned on going with the caulirice when I start my maintenance plan. It was the opposite for me I liked the rice, but not so much the noodles.

Right or wrong, at this stage I'm going for zero carb fillers as much as I can, which is why I ordered the rice, but looking forward to the day when I reach my second goal of a healthy weight. As I've reached my first goal of getting my blood sugar in the normal range daily.

Hey Tony,

I hear ya.....not sure any of my friends would be up at 5am when my first workout is hahaha. They think I'm crazy as it is!  :) :)

But the early bird catches the worm so the saying goes, and I'm finding doing a workout so early gives me a boost for the rest of the day. I'm building up to the 3 workouts a day gradually, don't want to be pulling muscles.

Hey Tony,

This may sound like another stupid question but do you rinse the whole package dry them and then store them, or do you store them in the liquid they arrive in?

I just don't want to ruin them, have to be cost conscious!  :) :)

I haven't tried it yet but my daughter has a set of CD's so going to borrow them and do my own thing to the music.

I bought a 3 CD set of Best of the 80's music when my planned walking routine was shot to pieces by bears, so I put them on and walk around the house to the slower songs, but the faster pieces I alternate between dancing around the room and shadow boxing!  ;D ;D Gives you a really great workout, and as 1 CD has 10 songs on it, it works out to about a 30 minute work out give or take. I plan to work up to doing it 3 times a day, using the 3 different CD's.

Gotta shake those pounds off!

I just love the Walden Farms Pasta Sauce! Now if they could could come up with a Curry Sauce.....I would be one happy camper!!! :) :) :)

The coleslaw dressing is really good as well. I have some of their other products I have yet to try, but so far I'm impressed.  :)

I'm in the process of making my pantry carb and sugar free, or as near to it as I can get!  ;D ;D  Of course it will be an ongoing process, but I will get everything replaced at some point.  ;)

Considering ordering some Miracle Rice, the bags hold 2.3 servings. In the spirit of being budget conscious. I would want to only use one serving per meal. Now the question is, what is the best way to store the unused portion until the next day?

Just finished a terrific workout....now onto the porch with my cup of coffee to cool down, and of course the fur balls want out to play....gotta love those felines  :) :) :)..

Had to rethink my early morning walk, I forgot about the bears...certainly don't want to be two-stepping with a black bear anytime soon!  :) :)

Hey Tony,

The Gazelle is a piece of exercise equipment, you don't walk as much as glide, very low impact, you exercise both your arms and your legs at the same time. I exercise to 80's rock n roll! I'm reorganizing my home office today with the music blaring, actually dancing around the office as I move things around, doesn't feel like work that way hahaha  :) :) :)

Now I can actually say "I eat to live - not live to eat!"  ;D ;D

Another pound down...another small win! I'm now in my 220's yay!!!!! Now of course the gloves are off!  :)

Just set my alarm on my cell phone to 5:00am daily  :) Going to go out for my daily walk while the temp is cool, come back and sit on the porch with my first cup of coffee to cool down before I have to get ready for work.  :) I can hop on my gazelle during the afternoon and early evening to add more exercise.  :)

Now my blood sugar is well under control, it's way past time my weight was under control as well!  ;) ;) ;)

And for me FTS is the way I'll be able to achieve this......my new lifestyle  :) :) :)
