I hate to feel defensive about how I eat, but some people make me feel that way! ARGH!

Boy, the reaction I got when I told a couple of women at lunch that I don't eat carrots! By the way, not one of them has ever had a weight problem. I explained I don't want the sugar from carrots and they said, oh well they have fiber, and oh it's natural sugar, blah blah blah. I said I eat low carb and I get fiber from other things. I tried very hard not to be defensive about it. I hope I succeeded.

So how do you deal with people like that?

Still have a bit of the "low carb flu" but that just means I'm burning fat! YES!!!

And I tried the soy nut butter last night and it was unbelievably yummy!!

I do know that it does affect people negatively and can cause you to stall.  Try and replace a couple of those with water and see if it changes.

Emmitt - You do not subtract carb and fiber to get net carbs, only fiber and sugar alcohols.

So the label on your spinach is correct. Subtract the fiber from the carbs and that equals the NET CARB.

I've made many One Minute Muffins, but in the Atkins world they are called MIMs or Muffin in a Minute. I ate so many of them a year ago that I got sick of them. However, I did have one a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't too bad. I need to try one of the variations definitely. I'm thinking a bacon, egg and cheese in the morning. Maybe add some garlic powder. Not sure.

Thanks everyone. I'm certainly enjoying my very low carb lavash today with my chicken salad and avocado. What a treat to be able to have "bread" when you eat low carb.

I'm so excited to start F2S! I've low carbed it before and started again a couple of weeks ago with Atkins. But this program doesn't have as many restrictions and easier to follow, in my opinion.  I got the book last night and read the whole thing.

Hi! I'm waiting for my book to arrive today and can't wait. I've been a low carber for the past two weeks now, but anxious to get on Doug's program.

I picked up some Soy Nut Butter yesterday, 1 net carb. What is your opinion of this nut butter? Is it ok to eat? Does it taste good?
