Couldn't hurt to try to rinse, but you won't get an exact salt number.

Be strong and keep at it. Your kidlets probably are exercise in itself. Just do what you can and follow the program.

Instiches9709- I am unsure if rinsing them will get the sodium off. I don't know if it is obsorbed. Even just sitting in the can a certain amount will be obsorbed.

These beans were canned. They were made by UNICO. I made a chili type dish with them, and put water chestnuts in with it. Next time water chestnuts will not be my first choice. The Lupini beans were good, just a little bigger than I expected them to be. They are the size of a dime. Actually, as I was eatin, that was the first thing I picked out of the bowl.

Even if you are sick, you need to keep your electrolytes up. Sugar Free Jello (in the Jello cups in the refridgerator section) will do that and they are on FTS. Please don't let yourself dehydrate.

Thanks Doug, that makes it easier because we don't usually carry a scale around in our pockets.

I have been spending so much time in the grocery stores reading labels it is becoming a pasttime. Sometimes it really pays off. I found some beans made by UNICO they are called LUPINI BEANS. They have 16g of carbs and 16g of fiber. You have to love eating the 0 things. If you have high BP it does have 41% sodium. I guess nothing is perfect.

Beebs- I have found fifty/50 products at FRESHCO. I have learned that you never give up looking for the items you want. All of a sudden what you are looking for will jump off the shelf. Make sure that you write down where you found each item. I use the inside of my book for footnotes. FYI the Fifty/50 jam is good.

Think of it like driving in bad weather. If your tires hit the ditch, you don't just let go of the steering wheel and stay in the ditch. Pull your tires back on the FTS Highway. This is just a speedbump on the road to Skinnyville. ;)
