General Discussion / When Do You "Graduate" from being a "Newbie" ?
« on: June 29, 2010, 02:09:18 PM »
I have noticed that some people are called "Newbie", which I understand, but when do you become a "Full Member", "Jr. Member", "Sr. Member", "Hero Member", and any other level offered???  Just curious.  Thanks and have a great day!

General Discussion / SC Peaches Are Coming--Do I have to Avoid them?
« on: June 22, 2010, 11:45:58 AM »
Hey Doug and Sherri,  If I have not lost all my weight (10-15 pounds to go--I have lost 25 on my own over the last 1 1/2 years and kept it off) -- do I have to leave the peaches alone and just eat the strawberries, blackberries, etc. as you mentioned in the book?

Have a great day!

General Discussion / Love the Support Group!
« on: June 18, 2010, 01:27:17 PM »
Today, June 18, starts week 3 for me!  I love the support group and feel like I have "unseen family" in the computer world.  I have felt more support and encouragement in the last several weeks through the computer than I feel I ever received during 30+ years with Weight Watchers and at least 5 of their different programs through the years.   THANK YOU to all who share your victories and valleys.  We are in this journey together.  We will fight fat to the Skinny Finish Line!  I only have a computer during the day, so hope each of you have a great day and a wonderful, fun weekend!

I'm new to the program -- in Week 2.  Just curious if there are any other members living in South Carolina (Greenville area) ?

Product Reviews / Sugar Free Candy
« on: June 14, 2010, 02:01:26 PM »
I have a question about Russell Stover candy.  I love chocolate.  I have kept my carb count under 20 per day since on the program (I'm in WEEK 2).  Will eating several carb points in candy per day hinder me from losing faster if I feel the need to have this "fix" on chocolate right now?  I haven't had candy EVERY day and know not to, but just wanted to hear your opinion on this.  I have been eating very healthy and good food each day (eggs/meats/vegetables/strawberries/plenty of water) and consider myself an active, healthy person who will be 59 August 14th.

Also, I feel like my body is shrinking more than the scales are showing.  Is this possible???

I saw Doug on the 700 Club on June 3 and bought his book on June 4.  Last year I lost 25 pounds and maintained the weight loss with the strength and grace of God (Praise God!).  I feel like God let me see Doug's book on tv to give me renewed HOPE and to get started on the next 10-15 pounds.  I want to THANK YOU  for sharing your stories because it really helps to know others are on the same life-changing program.  Thanks Doug for sharing your information and helping more people to be healthier the rest of their years on earth!   I am so excited to know I can get the weight coming off again!  May God bless each of you on your personal journey and as a "family" of encouragers!
Sincerely,
SouthCarolinaLady (Susie)
