It's a lot to keep track of. Take sunflower seeds - I found carb counts from 5 grams per cup to 16 grams per cup. Read an article that said some companies subtract the fiber before they report the carbs, so you don't know who's doing what. I went to government nutrition data, fitday and nutritiondata.self and they're all different yet. I always take the highest number to be on the safe side, but it's frustrating and irritating not to be able to find consistent numbers. I WANT sunflower seeds to be 5 grams so I can eat more of katary's sunflower seed crackers! I call them Katary Krackers and have to hide them because I want to eat the whole batch at once! That man comes up with some buyah recipes!

That's a great idea! But everyone I know who is struggling with their weight, I've already told about FTS and I wouldn't really be able to go up to a stranger and tell them "You're fat, here's your card!" I'm waiting for the T-shirt. When I'm skinny, I'll put my fat picture on the T-shirt with the FTS info. How about THAT?

Good! I thought so, but thought I'd better check so I won't be more confused that I am already! Thanks for your help!

Labels are not reliable! It seems like every place you get nutrition data has different numbers for the same products! I don't CARE which one is right, I just want to USE the one that's right!

TooSweet, I used a decaf in a large measuring cup today and did two large in a row - they were mixed and came out lovely! That's sooo much better! I'll try it with some of the others tomorrow and see if it works - that makes the coffee 25¢ a cup instead of 50¢ - yahoo!

All fiber is fiber and is deducted from the total carb count (along with sugar, if any) to give net carbs.
Thank you, Mouseissue! Are you saying "sugar" or 'sugar alcohol' here?

I don't know how many people Katary has lent his book to! :D And they all lost their weight.
Every time I see a fat person now, I want to tell them to get on FTS!

I just ate one of these - they are the BEST! Next time I'll check them before 20 minutes as the egg was (barely) close to rubbery, and I'll make them in the silicone muffin cups so they'll be easier to remove. I cut the Canadian bacon into fourths so it would fit in the bottom of the pan - that let the egg ooze through and that did not come out clean. But for YUMminess, it's a winner!

What's the difference between Soluble and Insoluble Fiber and is it calculated differently when subtracting from carb count?

I do too, Umpa. Sometimes I just drink hot water - usually when I've had enough coffee, but still want a cup. Just the hot seems to satisfy if I'm only thirsty and need water. If that doesn't work, I can drop an herbal teabag in it. I love Jasmine tea - and Earl Grey. They have a similar taste.

Speaking about Orange - what about zest? I haven't really seen it mentioned. I have some dried orange zest. Can it be used or does it have CaRbS?
