Yay, so glad that's working for you.  I have used it in the past but I have shellfish allergy so am not able to use it without hives....bleah.  FTS WOE does help a lot with shoulder/joint pain for me though...still wish I could use the shark and glucosamine stuff though.

Hi Stephanie -- good to hear you're hanging in there.  On the password thing, look into the soft ware site called "Last Pass".....it was recommended to me by a security computer tech in a law enforcement agency.  All your information is encrypted.  I use it to keep track of work and personal passwords.  Even had to look up FTS password tonight.

Great information.  I always cringe (inside) when I hear "a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat".....so illogical.

Hi Jo, I'm glad you got your thyroid problem diagnosed and treated.  I've heard that type of imbalance affects every single cell in your body.  Hang in there!

Hi, I've seen the "low carb" recipes suggesting honey also -- I always think "oh brother"....I have noticed those types of recipes more from the paleo "low carb" group.  They mean well, they're just misinformed....Umpa I like what you said about bees that make xylitol....lol

Hi Jacki -- I'm so glad you posted -- Your story sounds like my story.....and all the above responses are absolutely so spot on.  In fact I think I'll print them and carry them around to re-read when I struggle (which is often).  Like you and the others we have this thing in common of carb addiction.  And it's like a cave-in to our life that the only way out is a lot of hard work to dig out from under, and I'll agree with you that is very difficult in light of eating patterns, bad habits, and emotional and very real difficulties in our lives.....I'm with you on the difficulties of a relative with dementia -- I've been caretaking a mother with dementia.  While at times I could just fall or dive head first into a bag of M & M's, I always always always desire, long for, yearn for the freedom from carb addiction, and oh heck jacki you know from your success to get to 265 how much better you felt mentally, physically, spiritually on the wagon versus sunk into carb hell.

Morgan wrote the famous "hike up the big girl undies and get with the program" post, but it's always true, whether it's the first time we hike them up to make things better or the 99th time.  We just have to keep on working on that effort and never give up.

Years ago I envisioned that my journey to mastering carb addition, good health, and weight loss would be like I'm in San Diego and need to travel to my destination that is Seattle.  Now that trip is being made in say a cranky old car (representing lifes trials and my bad habits), but I will never make it to Seattle without keeping my car pointed north AND traveling....sometimes slow, sometimes faster, but I have to keep the car on the road pointed north.  If we had a break down on the road we wouldn't just pull up on the side of the road, give up and set up camp???  and we can't with carb addiction either and if you've noticed, the family around here doesn't require our perfection to assist us.

All above suggestions from FTS family have amazing inspiration and solid helpful suggestions.....for instance, I was sitting here yearning for cookies....instead got up and made cup hot decaf tea with zero sweetener.  Let's find a new comfort food like tea....oh and I suggest meditation, relaxation tapes, prayer, etc....and keep posting...whenever I blow it I want to hide, and that's not good either.

Sherriepi's too and any other FTS "losers" (translate: winners) that I have missed.

Hi everyone   im still hanging in -- on day 4 now.  I did notice sunday night when back at work with only 3 hours sleep there was a time te sugar cravings came but I didnt give in .  I didnt leave the building to run to 7-11or anywhere that would have tempting junk.

So last two days I have been earing scrambled eggs with butter and then meals of minced chickrEn and green beans or broccoli soup .  Also have been drinking low carb power shakes using a few frozen strawberries.    Each night I have had one square of very dark chocolate.

So the good news is im losing again and the even better news is that I have hope again.

Umpa:   you are right I need to make more soups/stews.  I eat the costco ready made cream of broccoli that is 3 net carbs per cup.  I want to make a chicken noodle this weekend using very very thin slices of mushroom to replace the noodles.

Susie:  sounds like you had a nice time and glad your eye is back in.  My girlfriend in high school susie labarre had a glass eye.

Morgan how are you doing?

Tony -- im hanging in there.

Hi  im doing well and on day 2.  I'm having scrambled eggs for breakfast.  For lunch yestrday I had minced chicken breast and green beans, and then a thigh and more green beans at work.  I had about 2 ounces of cheese for  snack .   Today for lunch I had a protein shake made with HWC warter, 1 scoop protein powder (3carbs) and put about 4 frozen strawberies in that.  This afternoon and night at work I am repeating chicken n green beans etc.  Tomorrow is a sleep catch up day but asap I want to make fts custard, cheesecake and I have a grated baked zucchini recipe that will be soft and tasty.  So today (sunday nght) is when I am back to work on just a couple - few hours sleep.   This is when I went to local 7-11 and started last weeks binge.   The plan tonight is to stay put.  Will make myself a SF vanilla latte for a treat later.

Thanks for being here and your support.   Even when I was ready to throw in the towel I couldnt with such kind and helpfulsupport  ..

And morgan how are you doing?  Hanging in there?

Hi Susie hope yiu are having a nice wkend

Hi everyone....sorry I didn't get back to answer my own post......duh....I didn't know what to say.  I was doing fine and had posted Saturday night and then Sunday night at work went on quite a bad sugar binge that lasted for days....so I've got to get back to the drawing board and do FTS Day 1.....I just weighed and didn't gain really, even though I ate the wrong things I didn't eat very much over all.

Saw the jaw doc and she said to eat pasta for the next month until the jaw is better, but I'm going to get back to FTS WOE Day 1 again......UGHHHHHHHHHHH!  onward and forward.  I lost 50 on FTS last year so that tells me I can do that again but this time keep going on toward goal..

Hi Morgan -- jaw is on soft food -- she said the consistency of scrambled eggs or soft pasta until May 15th at least.  It seems to pop in and out on the left side.....And so Morgan how is your FTS WOE going?
