The water and celery is very helpful.  I do think there is an adjustment but the water and celery takes care of it.  As long as I am drinking at least 48 ounces and having a little celery a day, I've had no problem.

Cool.  8)

Thanks Andrea and Elizabeth.  :) I appreciate your support. And I'm feeling a little better now except for a few minor things here and there. But, I can see the LIGHT!

Hey! I just have to share this with everyone. I can't believe it!!!

I was standing at a desk in an office, and a colleague (who dosen't know I"m doing FTS) said to me, "You look thinner. Did you lose some weight?"   WOW!!  I've been on detox for only 3 days now, but I HAVE noticed that I somehow FELT a little thinner. I havn't measured or weighed myself, but I've been just staying the course. But first, I've been FEELING thinner and then the colleague SAYS I look thinner but doesn't know I'm doing this!   ;D Maybe those size 4/6 jeans aren't so far out of reach.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

When doug first wrote the first Fat to Skinny book we were selling them at the Florida state fair(before the book was bought by barnes and nobles) we were next to the guy that dances with shark and oddly enough after a week or so I was rooting for the shark,I went for a walk and there was a guy selling chocolate covered bacon!! I couldn't wrap my brain around it!Daughter Jen loved it! :D

Umpa, I believe you have proven the theory, that indeed, "Bacon makes everything better".

I love the muffin in a minute Catznflwrz! But oddly enough, that doesn't work for me. Or at least it didn't last time. I might try it again. Flax is my friend.  :D

Thanks everyone. That his helpful advice. You know, if I look at this as "healing" instead of "detoxing", I actually feel GOOD about feeling BAD!

I'm also really glad to know that's what these symptoms are about. And yesterday, I ate dinner and then got SO TIRED! My mind was going "what the hell?" but my body was going "just lie down. Liiiieeeeee  down. Need sleep".  Andrea, you're right that I've passed 2 days. I can't wait to see what's on the other side of this!  :)  What a difference perspective makes!

General Discussion / Ugh. Oficially in Detox. OK, this is weird.

This has to be detox. I ate dinner, WAS going to go to Zumba, but skipped it becuase I just go SO TIRED. I need to drink some broth too. It was a crappy day today, with the clouds and the work I have to grade before the semester ends. My head doesn't hurt (yet) but my stomach is still a bit icky. I found a great doctor who is a low carb advocate in his practice who explained why we get these symptoms. Based on his explanation, it IS true that low carb HEALS our bodies!  I just need to stick out the detox. I'm bound and determined to do this.

What weird symptoms!

I figured it out!!! ;D CELERY is my friend. For some reason, it worked well for me. The candy didn't even when I consumed the whole bag  :o . But  celery, well, I plan on buying some weekly. That plain little vegetable rocks my world.

Bacon makes everything better! ;D ;D ;D
Well... Maybe not ice cream. :D

There is a chocolate bar with bacon in it. Of course, I only want the bacon and not the chocolate.

:o :o ;D ;D ;D

Hahahaha! Nice,  Big Tex!  (and thanks for having my back).

I managed to mix some buffalo sauce with chicken and added celery and blue cheese as dinner. It was quite tasty. I just might make it after all.

« on: April 29, 2012, 03:04:29 PM »
I am no medical expert, but I really think it took my tummy a while just to get used to my new lifestyle.  I mean....for YEARS it had to produce so much acid to try and handle all that junk I was eating!  ...I guess it just took it a few days to slow down producing that!  :-\

OMG!  :o THIS is why my stomach is feeling icky! I'm currently in my first day of detox and it ALWAYS comes with a dull headache, even though I don't give up caffiene. That explains why I feel so odd at first.  I'm determined to stick out the WHOLE detox this time and not run away, but I can feel the withdrawl already starting.

For some odd reason, now that I'm armed with detox and scientific info, I'm able to rationalize my flu like feelings now and can tolerate them. I can't wait to get on the other side of this!

I just repurchased it via Nook so I have their official eBook version.  I needed it in my library anyway.
