Ho fernandoS,  you may have to revise the ingredients as I think it would add up to way more that 20 carbs for just that one drink.   Doug 's book recommends only 20 carbs.

Hi monana...welcome to the forum.

You will fall of your chair when you check the carb count for honey, even the lemon juice😃
Watch the counts and take it under advisement.  Anything (well most things) can be incorporated.  I even have been known to have a chocolate lindor ball at 5carbs.  That's a quarter of our allowance but...when a craving hits...it hits.   There is a relatively carb free *honey* available. I have seen it but didn't interest me but you maybe able to track it down..walden farm??

Thank you tony for answering for me. I've been away for a little while. I've been overseas, been ill, moved house, become a grandmother again, babysat, looked after recovering daughter.  Time has flown.  I was lurking now and then....oh....also had internet issues as nbn was rolling out through our area.

Hopefully things will settle now.  Though going through everything you realise how much stuff you carry round that you don't need (insert weight instead baggage).

Desserts and Sweets / Re: cream jelly? jelly cream? jc?

okay...taste tested it....pretty good though it has a grainy texture which is like tiny little bits of jelly.  Overall I think it worked well.  Was firmer than just cream, keeping its shape.  Will make again  :)

Trying something new - cream and jelly but not the conventional way.
I often flavour my whipped cream with cocoa (few drops of zero or other sweetner) to make chocolate cream or cocoa and coffee granules for mocha flavor - fantastic dessert.  Today I sprinkled no sugar jelly crystals over my cream and started to whip.
Raspberry flavour (not the whole packet just what I thought would be sufficient)... it looked pretty (pink), the little taste I had was good.  Popped it in the fridge for tomorrow.  I want to know how the setting agent in the jelly will affect the cream.  Will it be firmer or same as whipped cream?  Results will be announced soon.  This opens up all those other flavours - orange, pineapple, strawberry...you get the drift.
And you don't have to add any sweetner because it is already in the jelly.  I hope it ends up a little firmer as this would help when putting on cake/cheesecake or, well, anything.

Will let you know....morgan

Hello newbies... I've noticed a whole lot of new people signing on but no one's posting.... USE YOUR WORDS PEOPLE....we would love to hear from you.

We are a very social group here when we eventually all get together.  Some of us come and go.  Join the program, do fantastic, fall off the wagon....get guilty...leave and then come back and redeem ourselves.  We don't judge.  We are here to help, listen, advise or just because.

It's pretty much anonymous.... you can state your feelings, aspirations, goals, difficulties, new recipes, successes, failures (that can be turned in successes - just ask).

Hope to hear from you.

In case your interested....cauliflower leaves.
I shredded them and through them in a stirfry curry, which also had shredded cabbage...couldn't tell the difference.  Have also taken to cutting cauli into slices (what they call steaks) and frying in butter....or coating in almond meal first then frying.  Yummo.

Hi all....I'm sure you are all going to be thrilled that I have actually added some (not much) but some actual exercise into my day.  That treadmill (cough...torture device) is actually being used.  I have decided "1 km a day" is no big deal - I can do that....even if I have to hop on that thing 4/5/6/7/8 or more times a day I will walk that #### (pardon the swearing) 1 km a day.  Only excuse is when I mow my lawn (believe you me I would rather walk that kilometre, my lawn area is that big) or I am away.  I have lost a few more lbs.....I know slowly but surely wins the race and it seems to be taking it's time...I wish it would hurry up, but I it is just me and my body being stubborn.  If it is shedding weight with no real major effort by me, I am happy.

Hello everyone, just touching base to see how everyone is going with their "trials and tribulations".   How's the goal setting??  The triumphs?? The tears and frustrations??   Good??  Glad to hear it.  I've been doing well and have lost 18kgs (40lb - wow, haha, gotta say it sounds heaps more in poundage) since mid October last year - approx 32 wks or so.  That might not mean a lot to some in the length of time,  but this is a post menopausal woman here and it is a heap better than putting it on.   I've sauntered through this not really putting much effort (when I say not much effort - I am following the guidelines, but I am not stressing or obsessing) into it to be honest, just taken it day by day.  I keep telling myself I must start to exercise but I'm hard put to get motivated to do anything let alone exercise.  It is the beginning of winter here and it is absolutely freezing already.  But each day I am getting closer to that treadmill set up in the lounge room.  I'll get there - maybe I'm waiting for a plateau to actually have to shake my body up to keep losing.  I see it for what it is - an EXCUSE.  I know it, I own it, I WILL??? overcome it.    ;D

Hope everyone is well and doing well.

Hi Morgan,
I am much better, back to all housework. My doctor ordered a Stat CT scan of my liver. When that came back he ordered blood tests for hepatitis A and B. Hopefully I will know this week.

Housework is so overrated......😃
