Thanks Andrea, I'm sure your right. I think I do better  if I can keep it simple, meats and veggies.  I was trying to add up in my head no more than 5 carbs per meal. but when you see all these wonderful recipes I start exploring/experimenting. and I'm pretty sure it shows up on the scale! ha ha!  it is all new to me right  I do need to be more mindful in weighing and measuring my food. I have the perfect portions scale, that gives the nutrition facts. but again you have to enter the code per item.  :-*. ok! new task for the week, measure and weigh items to learn carb counts.  thanks again Andrea and Umpa.

I would say that I do pretty good with them. its when I have to measure out a recipe that I become lazy or lost. for so many years i have thrown things together its hard to not still do that. but having the low carb items does make it a healther choice/meal and with less sugar I'm not having cravings or as hungry so my portions are smaller.

I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to post separate pages/posts of the different groups of carb counts? example: 0-carb items -- 1 carb items-- 2 carb items. and so on. I'm not wanting to step on anyones toes here, just wondering if this would be helpful to anyone else?

Umpa. I started with the same idea. out of sight out of mind! but found out early that sweets are almost as good frozen if not better. speaking of cheese cakes. I was looking at my recipe and it calls for half cream cheese and have mascrapone cheese. which is also 0 carbs. my crust has toasted almonds in it as well. sometime I would like you to help me alter to fts.

I think I will make this for lunch tomorrow.
My husband has his own strength training business
It has the same method of the super slow/ concept 10.
He sort of follows a paleo low carb diet. But he eats
Frozen berries every morning! Probably he guessed
30 net carbs just at breakfast! But he complains every night
That he is depleted and weak! He works out
Once every 5 days for 20 minutes. He is not over weight
But he doesnt have energy! Could it be too much sugar
That makes him so depleted?

General Discussion / Panni's
« on: July 05, 2012, 08:01:28 AM »
I used the one minute muffin to make a Panni, it was so good and looked just as good. my hubby who never eats bread had one and he loved it! I will post a pic soon! I don't see any reason to ever buy a loaf of bread, hoagie buns or regular buns again. this recipe is my favorite. I'm excited to serve it to my mother who is coming to visit for 11 days this month. she is diabetic and does not watch her diet. I'm hoping she likes it!

Welcome Ashley, Great questions. I'm also a newbie! but have to say I already know this method is perfect for me. the replacement recipes are amazing and fun. I've noticed that though taste is a bit different from the first bite, but by the time you finish it. you realize it is actually better all the way around and usually alot easier to prepare. what I needed the most was to elimanate the cravings and anxiety and it worked within a few days. and the bakery book is a must have ( more than just baked items ) also the zero sweetner. this website, recipes, info, and peeps are just wonderful. so welcome Ashley have a seat and explore a fun and guilt free way to feed your family.
