So, I am trying hard to keep myself accountable on this forum. I read Scott's post earlier and though I don't know if I am disciplined enough to commit to once a week, I am definitely posting more regularly. I finally got my picture up so you all can put a face to the name.  :) I am starting week twelve tomorrow and  I am down 45 pounds so far.  Life is great and getting better by the day. I will keep posting.

I thought I would touch base, I haven't posted in a while. I am 3 days into my 10th week and still shrinking. I am down 42 pounds. I am amazed. I am grateful. I am proud :) I am just getting started. I am feeling so much better. Again I have a long, long road to travel but with results like this, I am hopeful. I am determined. Thank you all for the support. it is greatly appreciated. Again, the words "thank you" are inadequate for me to express my gratitude to you Doug and Umpa. I could say it a million times and it will always seem inadequate for what you have given me in writing these books. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart  :)

How did you lose 30 pounds so fast in one month? Do you eat same thing everyday or ???  I lost 9 pounds in two weeks.  I wish I could lose more -  guess I am not patience which I'm trying to be.  lol Also, where did you buy coconut cheesecake and what brand is it?

Not I'm not eating the same things everyday, I am definitely trying to mix it up so I don't get bored. We actually used the recipe from doug and umpa fts bakery cookbook.  Oh and if you happen to see this Umpa, it was delicious. I think we might try the berry crumble next. Thank you all for you well wishes. The encouragement is greatly appreciated. I am so thrilled to have found this lifestyle/forum/support group.

Well here I am heading into week 4. I am feeling fantastic. I am eating about 3 times a day. I have virtually quit snacking between meals, I just don't seem to be hungry anymore. My joints aren't aching like they were 3 weeks ago. I seem to be able to think more clearly. I have more energy and I am no longer winded by just walking across the room. Oh Yeah, and I am down 30 pounds  :) :) :) :) Did I mention that I got to eat coconut cheesecake for dessert last night and woke up this morning with a 3 pound weight loss. To me, this is so amazing. I have struggled always.. I am 42 and I have been on one diet or another since about age 5. This is the first program ever that I can honestly say. "I can do this, I can eat like this forever" I can also say with confidence, that it does not matter how long it takes me to get there. There is now no doubt in my mind that I will get there. Thank you Doug and Umpa for helping me unlock this prison door. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ask Umpa / Coconut cheesecake Sugarfree bakery book
« on: August 22, 2012, 06:58:36 PM »
Hi Umpa,
I have a quick question regarding the coconut cheesecake recipe in the sugarfree bakery book. Page 245.
In the Ingredient list there is no mention of the amount of cream cheese this recipe calls for.  Can I assume this is just an 8 oz package?
Thank you

Ask Umpa / binder for meat loaf?
« on: August 19, 2012, 06:16:11 PM »
Greetings Umpa,
I hope you are having a great day!!! I have a quick question about meatloaf. For years and years, my mom has made her meatloaf with quick quaker oats. Could you offer any suggestions for a simple binder that would give us a similar outcome?
Thank you, Have a great day!! :)
