General Discussion / Carbo Replacement
« on: May 22, 2014, 04:39:51 AM »
Hi Guys,

Its been months since my previous thread. Lately, I noticed that I ate too much carbs such as pasta, pizza and craving for sweets. I know that it will do no good in my health in the future. So, I want to totally cut carbs in my diet though I don't have diabetes, high cholesterol or any heart problem yet. It's better to be careful now in my diet than suffer from health problems in the future. That is the reason I like to ask if it is possible to cut carbs totally in my diet and is there a replacement for carbs food?

I can relate somehow in your situation. I have been through that situation long ago. I managed to lose weight when I started to eat more fiber, low protein and no carbs at all with exercise. I lost 35 pounds in three months.

I would admit that I'm guilty when Doug said we're all addict in carbs. On the other hand, we can control or stop our addiction in eating carbs. We can command ourselves to what we eat and what we shouldn't eat. Again, that will depend on how we are determine to do it.

Hi Morgan,

I have similar situation like you. Sometimes, I can't resist the temptation of eating more carbs. So as much as possible I don't want to look at any food store when I'm outdoor. I always have green tea with me.

Honestly, I haven't heard that before either try it. I'm satisfied in black coffee and I prefer to be always that.

There are many healthy benefits in coconut oil. I guess that is main reason why coconut oil is used in tropical countries for many years.

Yes, vegan means no animal products in diet but I'm not vegan. Well, if you are determined to yourself to go on vegan then I believe you can do it. Goodluck!

Lets face it. We see sugar everywhere. Yet, discipline ourselves is also needed aside from following FTS way.

That's right, Jack doing things that you like/love (hobbies) such as walking and jogging is really big help to loose weight. Our minds who command us to eat and eat. Yet, we can divert it by doing other things we love.

I just watched that video of Jimmy. Its all new learning to me. I thought avoiding fats would be good diet.
As what I understand in the video, its okay to eat fats and protein but less carbo. Am I understand right?
What about apple? It is complex carbohydrates.
