Where can I find a food list to take shopping with me?
« on: August 18, 2010, 06:47:06 AM »
I like to know if there is someplace that I can print out a list of the "allowed foods" so I can take it to the store with me when I shop?   I am new to this and am looking for some guidance.   Thanks

Well there is a small section in the back of the main book and there is the sugar and carb counter. What exactly are you looking for?

The complete list of veggies is in the book, all zero carb proteins like meats, fish, poultry etc... are listed in the book. Everything you need to know will come to you through your book.... Have you gone back after reading it to use the lists?

the possibilities are endless:) just learn to read the labels & and calculate the net carbs...that's the # you should focus on 8) if your grocery store has a "diabetic" section look there for lo/no carbs stuff... but you'll find what you need by label reading... and of course there are many online sites that can supply what your looking for... but like Doug says its easiest starting out with the staples of meats, fish, poultry, cheeses etc>>>>> then you can progress into a more diversified menu plan:) bottom line learn to read the labels and figure out the net carbs for yourself:)

ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh & glad to see you here:) come back often and share your thoughts & experiences:)
