Hi Kim! :)

I'd recommend using a low carb marinara in place of those canned tomatoes.
I think 16 ounces of canned stewed tomatoes (net weight) in water have around 24-25 net carbs! :o

Might be a good idea ~ The one I use is Trader Joes and the only ingredient is tomatoes.  It says total net carbs for a can is 15....  What kind of marinara sauce do you like to use?

Hi Kim! :)

I've used a few different brands.
When added to recipes, I don't find much difference as I usually "season" things up anyway.
As always, read the labels to get the carb counts.

If in doubt, Walden Farms offers a "No Carb" Marinara.
But I usually find most store brands (although with a few carbs) taste better to me.
What you do today is what matters!

Kim you should enter this in the Easter contest as a lunch recipe! I agree with Tony a marinara would make this hearty ;)
