Camping
« on: August 28, 2010, 03:26:26 PM »
We are camping by Mt. Shasta this weekend. I'm the cook so it's my way or the highway. I made a brisket with asparagus last night ( no complaints) turned out real good. Breakfast is eggs, bacon and sausage. Rain just started  :-\ Did I miss something? Is it still summer? Time to hit the trails have a nice day,y'all!

Hope you're having a blast Phil, Sherri and I spent the day on a dirt bike ride to a trail head, then a 5 mile mountain hike...ate wild blueberries for lunch off the trail and ham and cheese roll ups back at the bikes at the end of the hike...here's a pic of the views we enjoyed today

I'm Back,
Izzet I took my phone and I have the 3g network ( or what ever it's called)worked real good, just a pain to type. We had a blast weather was great. hiked a lot. Took lots of pics. I will post a couple after work tonight.
Doug sounds like you and Sherri had a blast. I found wild black berry's in the middle of a poison oak patch, glad I noticed the poison oak before it was to late  ::)  I almostalways get it when we go out to this location. So far so good ( no itching) yet.

So happy for you Phil.  What a great time, I love camping and we had sorta given up on it do to physical ailments but we are on our way BACK. Doug and Umpa, so lucky to be spending time at Cataloochee!  I love it there. Sounds like a perfect day!
