I wowed the doctor today! He saw me for my 6 month follow up on the diabetes thing. My blood work is looking great and he cut my meds in half. When he walked into the room, he said, "Well, hello Slim!" ha ha NOT QUITE...but I'm on my way.

Then, he spent about 15 minutes asking me questions and talking to me. Doctors don't often do that. He was asking me about what I'm doing and I surely told him! He wanted to know how I stay motivated and stick to the diet...NO NO NO.... We don't use the "D" word, doc! He listened intently as I spoke and gave me lots of answers to my questions. It was a great visit. The next time I see him will be July and I will truly be living up to the name he called me: SLIM!!! Yeah, baby!

I'm hoping I can get my HBP meds reduced when I go in next time as well.

That's fantastic, owensmath!  :) :) :)

It's wonderful that your doctor has an open ear.
Many do not and seem to be infected with the "know it all" syndrome and are unwilling to consider something that has not been blessed by the AMA and USDA.

I know you will reach your weight goal and get off the meds.
I really want to get off these damn pills too!

That is such AWESOME news!!!  I know your doctor was SO proud of you!! The medical offices should keep copies of FTS in their waiting rooms instead of magazines!
