Simply said, ketones are the "ash" of burnt fat cells. If weight is coming off fat cells are burning and ketones will be present, this is Ketosis. So YES, if you follow the FAT TO SKINNY weight loss lifestyle plan your body will certainly experience the state of Ketosis. There is much misinformation out there about Ketosis but my stand as usual is pretty simple. If the state of Ketosis is your bodies natural state when burning fat cells for fuel then how can it be bad for you? Simple question isn't it :) I have been under a doctors microscope for 8 years on FTS and I'm as healthy as a horse. I suggest you keep moving forward and if you're concerned further consult your kidney doctor as I am not a doctor nor can I give you medical advice.

You're welcome Nita, Chinese is easy... fresh veggies, meats and seafood stir fry's....YUM!! It's the cornstarch, sauces, rice and noodles that will nail you. Replace the noodles with Shirataki Tofu noodles, the rice with cauli rice, thicken sauces with egg yolk and sweeten with Stevia...you'll be fine :)

Drinking lots of water is good to flush your kidneys.  I measure out 64 oz. of water in a container in the fridge to be sure to drink all of my water each day.

You know what I do. I'm a diet pepsi fiend. I hit 7/11 in the mornings and get the 32 oz big gulp. I drink that all morning until it's gone then refill that cup all afternoon with water. I can easily drink three of them from lunch to bedtime and it helps me get my water in and I've lost 152 pounds so far doing it.  :)

how many gallons is 64 oz?

Trick question.  There are 128 ounces in a US gallon.  In Canada we use the Imperial measurement (like the UK) and we have 160 ounces in a gallon.
I don't count other liquids in my water intake.  Tea, coffee, pop, etc. are on top of my 64 oz. of water.

I bought a 64 oz bottle at walmart I fill it up every morning so that I will make sure I get 64 oz at least . That is also not counting the coffee  or tea I drink . I try to get most of it down before 4pm because I do not like getting up during the night . It is hard to get it all down at first ,but your body wants it after a while.

Hi nitason1!  :)

Your fellow FTS family members are giving you some very good advice.

One piece that you should pay special attention to is drinking LOTS of plain water EVERY day!

According to my doc, most people do not drink enough to remain properly hydrated.
Our bodies need plenty of water to perform everyday biochemical functions.
Mild dehydration can aggravate many physical conditions and slow down ketosis (i.e. fat burning weight loss).

What you do today is what matters!
