fat in stool

I've been on the diet two weeks and have lost two pounds. I've just started having lots of fat in my stools along with diarrhea. This does not seem normal or healthy to me. is this a common result?

It took my body a few months to adjust to the new lifestyle.

Welcome to the forum Patrice.  I'm not quite sure how to answer your question.  Make sure you eat a variety of food including fibre, vegetables and proteins.  Don't overdue the sugar free candy or other things with sugar alcohol, that will give you diarrhea.  Fibre is very important in your daily food plan and eating this with a good balance of vegetables and protein, you will find your stool does that "S" in the toilet that has been mentioned on talk shows.

Stool fats, are fats that are excreted in the feces. One of the functions of the pancreas and liver is to break down dietary fats to a point where they are   emulsified. Seeing large amounts of fat in your stools without tying them to heavy consumption can be a sign of a disorder and should be checked by a doctor. Excessive fecal fat can also be caused by the heavy use of laxatives.

Please list the foods you've been eating and in what quantities. Floating FAT in stools is not something I have ever heard of from readers eating the FTS plan so I would dissociate the eating plan from the equation unless you're eating enormous amounts of fat. Are you eating large quantities of fat?

If you are not I would would focus on the liver and pancreas and schedule a fecal fat test with your doctor if it persists.

This is what I ate yesterday..it is pretty typical of what I have been esating on this diet. I do not take laxatives and have no digestive problems. I'm linking this to the diet since it is the only change I have had.
Here goes:
2 slices bacon, drained of fat.
1 egg cooked with drained bacon
1 slice Julian Bakery toast
2 coffee with 4Tbs. whipping cream/1/2 and 1/2 
1 tbs. margarine
1 Vitamin-C packet (6 carbs)
2 oz. cheddar cheese
1 slice Julian bread
1 Tbs. mayonnaise
8 oz. almond milk ( 2 carbs)
1/4 c. cottage cheese
1/2 c. steamed cabbage
1/2 c. Breyer's low carb ice cream (4 carbs)
1 packet sugar free jello

Pat, there's nothing wrong with the fat content of what your eating. The Julian bread needs to go...it's stopping your weight loss, from my research the numbers they claim are false. You should also get rid of the vitamin pac and simply take a tablet without any carbs. I don't know what to tell you about the fat in your stools other than what I told you above. Please stay in close touch so we can follow your progress with this issue.  8)
