Gluten free
« on: March 18, 2011, 07:39:41 PM »
Hi, the gg bran cripbread and the tortilla's Doug recommends, are they gluten free?  If not what can I use instead?

Also I am a total sugar addict as Im sure a large percentage of the population are, what helps to lessen the sugar cravings?  I notice when I stop eating chocolate or M&M's! (totally addicted) I develop a huge craving for corn chips. Does it just take time to get over the cravings?

Cheers

Ok so I am answering my own question - I just found out that both GG brancripbread and tortillas have wheat in them so what does one do when they need to have a diet that is gluten free?  What do I use as a replacement, any suggestions?
Thanks

I just realized in the last few days that, without ever intending to, I have gone completely gluten free by eating FTS. I just never eat any bread or pasta or anything with gluten. I make the One Minute Muffin for my sandwiches and make my flax/sunflower crackers for other munchies. I was surprised to realize I don't eat gluten at all anymore. I never planned to do that, but it hasn't been difficult at all.

Welcome Kelbec6.  Go to the homepage and scroll down to the recipe section.  There are recipes for breads and crackers and you will find gluten free things to make.

Smaps cereal (available @ www.netrition.com) is gluten-free. I believe Andre's Carbo-Save Crackerbread is as well. There are a lot of recipes you can make yourself, too. Good luck!
