So I am thinking of making the baked mushroom caps with crab meat stuffing this weekend, but since its expensive, do you think that shrimp would be a good substitute?

I agree with Owensmath!! I made the sausage stuffed mushrooms for our church superbowl party and by the time I got in there to get food...they were ALL gone!!! hahaha   ::)  Luckily I tested a couple before I left!! <grin> Delish!!!   ;D

I've stuffed mushrooms with Italian Sausage, Provalone cheese, Parmesan cheese, a little Alfredo sauce and Italian seasoning... Very yummy! ;D ;D ;D
