Craving PB Cups
« on: April 13, 2011, 04:54:51 PM »
I've had Umpa's Beanit Butter Cups on my mind today.  ::)

Since stalling last month, the last thing I need is a full batch of PB cups sitting around the house taunting me. However, I couldn't stand it anymore so I mixed up a tablespoon of Beanit Butter with a tablespoon of Walden Farms Chocolate Syrup and 2 tablespoons of Smaps cereal. I dropped it from a teaspoon onto some waxed paper and stuck it in the fridge for awhile. Sort of like a No-Bake Cookie. They firmed up a little, but I didn't wait long enough to see how hard they would get. It was a bit of chewy, gooey, chocolatey, peanut buttery goodness.  :D

The carb count was pretty low (I have the number on my other computer, but it was in the .20s I think) because I only used 2T of the cereal. The other ingredients had 0 carbs. I got 2 pieces out of it, but I could have gotten three. Kind of a high-calorie treat at 95. Not sure what Umpa's PB Cups are calorie-wise. But ... it took care of the craving for now.

Rena, you are sooooo funny :) I'm pretty sure Umpa's PB cups freeze well. I know they last a long time in the fridge if you can control yourself  ;) You are doing so well getting the weight loss back on track, soon you'll be in your Mickey Mouse shorts!

Yeah, Doug -- after stalling for as long as I did, I just don't want stuff like that in the house. One serving worked better for me. Funny how my kid's snacks don't tempt me at all.

And I'm getting closer with those Mickey Mouse shorts! I tried them on again today and could button them up. Of course, I couldn't BREATHE, but I'm getting closer!  :D :D :D

Rena you make me giggle you are so much like me! :D I take beanit butter and make little balls about 6mm and freeze the balls.(spray your hands with pam) Then I melts some chocolate and when its room temperature i drop the balls in ,scoop them out, and put them on wax paper back in the freezer. When i want one its there. But not in my face every time I open the fridge. :)

Yes Umpa but that is like your delish PB cookies , I put them in the frezzer but it really is not a long walk to the fridge and the frezzer door is so easy to open LOL
I really have to have self control  when I make them ! ;D

I have no self-control when it comes to chocolate & peanut butter.  ;D

I'll be fine once I'm at my goal. Then I can make the treats and more elaborate recipes while I'm maintaining. I just have to get there first. :)
