i love cabbage cooked with bacon, is this ok?

Yes it is,just make sure your bacon doesnt have sugar /carbs if they do just make sure you count them !!!
I love cabbage cooked with bacon too
& green beans also ,like my mom use to make them !!

I love cabbage cooked with bacon too
& green beans also ,like my mom use to make them !!

My mom used to make green beans with bacon, salt pork, and mushrooms.
She'd put 'em in a pan on the stove and cook them for a couple of hours (stirring occasionally) until the bacon and salt pork flavors were completely through the beans.
I'll cook string (green) beans once and a while this way too!... Sooooo Yummy!!! ;)

I don't think I've ever had cabbage with bacon. Sounds good. I did make Doug's corned beef and cabbage though, which was really good.

AND we had hash the next day......finely chopped up corn beef with some finely chopped cabbage and 1/4 sized jicama cubes for the taters all mixed together in the pan. Nesteled an egg into each serving in the skillet and let her rock................Yummy!

How do you measure out your cabbage to count its carbs when it is all mixed up?  Or do you just round and say about 1/2 cup equals 1.5 carbs?  I love cabbage fried!!
