USDA's MyPlate

A lot of my friends on Facebook are posting this and saying how much easier it is. For me, personally, it's still way too full of sugar for me to lose weight or stay at a healthy weight.

I don't see why the USDA just doesn't seem to get it.  ???

Hi Rena! :)

The USDA just took the food pyramid and turned it on it's ear.
Like you said, it's way too high in hidden sugar just like the old pyramid.
They just made minor adjustments the "hidden sugar" sources.

Our medical community has only just recently begun to understand the role of carbs in our diets.
See this great study that Doug posted on our forum:

The USDA's opinions are tied to politics, which is tied to lobbyists who promote the "diet" and "sugar" industries.
They may get it... But if "it" goes against their "special interests", we won't hear about it from them!
That's why this forum is so important in helping to spread the truth!
What you do today is what matters!

That's it in a nutshell Tony, imagine the costs associated with subsidizing the farming industry, I'm afraid a high grain diet in America is here to stay. The whole country is getting FAT and SICK eating the same food we feed to our cattle and other livestock to fatten them up for slaughter.

Hi Alex! :)

I really believe that they don't care if they are right or wrong.
As long as their "special interests" are happy and they "appear" to be doing something about the obesity epidemic, is all that really matters to them.
