Adding walking and the weight bench!
« on: May 22, 2011, 06:57:22 PM »
OMG y'all!! my husband is my own personal trainer!!  ;D my arms totally hate me! LoL...We are going to go for our evening walk in a little bit, we did a morning one earlier. But I have a question for you!! Why is it, when you work out, you feel like you could eat the broad side of a barn? Omg!! A few weeks ago, before we started the weight bench, I could barely eat a quarter of a cooked piece of ham for dinner! Now, I feel like I could eat the whole freakin ham!! LoL..Don't worry I don't ;D But good Lord, I feel like I'm hungry all the time!! It just doesn't feel normal for my type of eating habbits.

I think that's normal. Your body is working off more energy and to keep your body at the same size you are now, it wants more food. I know that when I swim during the day I am always starving at night. The trick is not to eat too much to fill up that hungry feeling. I start with 32oz water about 30 minutes before dinner and that helps fill me up. This way I don't feel the need to overeat at dinner and I get the benefit of losing a good amount the next morning when I weigh in.

Hi snobles! :)

I found that dehydration and hunger pangs often feel very much alike.

After my walks, I drink at least 16 oz. of COLD water right away.
Try this right after your work outs.
If you're still hungry after 15 minutes, your body should be craving protein.

Also, be sure you're getting all the other nutrients your body needs,
You will feel cravings and/or hunger if your body is deficient in something it needs.
Vitamin-Mineral supplements help prevent this.

What you do today is what matters!

I always end my workout with a soy protein shake. Its zero carb and it fills me up until I can eat a proper meal. You can add flavoring to them too like the flavored coffee syrups ,fruit, peanut butter, or a litte sugar free jelly. The protien also feeds the muscles. Then I start chugging water. ;)
