3 pounds gone in 3 days!!!

This diet is crazy easy!  I can't say I FEEL better yet b/c I got a virus from my baby boy and I'm not feeling great just yet---but, I'm LOSING weight!  I'm not exercising but am doing housework and kids etc...  I got me some GG bread today...yum.  Can anyone suggest any protein alternatives besides processed meat that's fast and easy???  So far I've been having egg beaters, turkey bacon a dab of mayo on a 4 carb tortilla.  I've discovered I'm NOT hungry at lunch, but just an hour or so b/f dinner I get kinda hungry so I eat some almonds.  For dinner the last two nights I've had another tortilla with grilled chicken, lettuce, onion, sour cream and hot sauce.  Just discovered frozen strawberries with reddiwhip..mmmmmm.    The only thing I am LACKING is VEGETABLES.  I bought some broccoli and cauliflower but haven't cut them up yet.  I've had some onions/lettuce, but I seems like i need more veggies!  Husband is on the plan too.  He didn't weigh himself day 1 so it's hard to say how much he's lost, but he said he's about 6 pounds down from the last time he weighed, cuz he's a man, that sounds about right!

Welcome eliruthy! I hope you get to feeling better. :) I like to keep boiled eggs(or deviled eggs) in the fridge for a quick protein fix.Also when I cook meat for supper I make alittle extra to put in the fridge.Nuts are also good ,but measure them.

I just think it's INSANE to realize how much SUGAR people actually EAT!  It's really SICKENING if you think about it.  I was tempted to eat one of my kids chocolate chip cookies, 11 carbs PER COOKIE.  i threw it back down.  MAKE THAT FOUR POUNDS IN FOUR DAYS as of this morning!!!!!!! I know i should weigh myself once/week, but, i can't lol. ;D

I'm happy to hear your hubby is joining you in this lifestyle!
It's much easier when both spouses are eating the same way.

Besides the traditional protein sources (beef, pork, chicken, & fish), there are also protein bars.
I will eat them occasionally when I'm out and about and feel hungry.
But notice I said "occasionally"!
Whole protein sources are much healthier for you than bars.
But in a pinch, they will help keep you from getting too hungry.

I also eat a lot of cheeses and nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, & macadamias).
And "super convenient" hard boiled eggs.
These are all very good for you! ;)
What you do today is what matters!

Welcome to the forums and FTS.

If you like reddiwhip...you should see if your store carries Land-o-lakes whipped cream. It comes in a can like reddiwhip but has 0 carbs per serving.

For protein I keep lots of no carb lunch meat and cheeses in the fridge. That way I can easily roll up a couple whenever I'm hungry.


I also love peanuts. I buy a big bag and separate them in little baggie to 3 carb snack sizes. When you need a fix, you can just grab a baggie and go.
