Best 4th of July Chicken Wings!
Ingredients
1-2 pounds fresh or frozen wings (uncoated & thawed)
1 1/2 cups blanched broccoli florets (6 net carbs)
4 slices kiwi fruit (3.5 net carbs)
1/2 cup Sweet Heat BBQ Sauce (recipe below) most carbs burn off, (count 4 net carbs)
1 teaspoon fresh chopped cilantro
1/4 cup Marzetti ranch dressing (4 net carbs)
Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce- Place all ingredients in the SAN-J bottle and shake.
1/2 bottle San-J Szechuan Gluten Free Hot & Spicy Marinade
An equal amount Heinz reduced sugar ketchup
7 drops FAT TO SKINNY Zero Sweetener
Directions
1- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
2- Coat the wings well with sauce and place on hot grill, close lid. Flip the wings in 10 minutes.
3- Bring 2 cups of lightly salted water to a boil over high heat in a medium sized saucepan. Drop the broccoli florets into the boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain the broccoli and quickly rinse with cool water long enough to cool down a bit to stop the cooking process but not to cold. Leave in strainer to drip dry.
4- Flip your wings and cook another 5 minutes or until cooked through. Test doneness by removing a wing and cutting the drumstick side at the thickest point right to the bone. No red blood should show.
5- When the wings are done re-coat with BBQ Sauce turn off grill and close lid for 10 minutes.
6- Prepare your dip by adding the cilantro and placing slices of kiwi inside the edges of the bowl.
