Yes Umpa I think slowly but surely I am getting the hang of this forum. I did try to post a couple pics, but it says they are too big and I do not know how to change that.  This forum is what is keeping me keeping on.  I love it! ;D  I find ideals & strength here and to think you and Doug have time for us all is just totally awesome, so grateful for this site, so grateful for you and Doug and all my new found friends on this forum!  I have used facebook for years with family but had never been a part of a forum like this.

The forum is amazing!  I try to log in every day - just knowing there are other people doing what I do every do, some days struggling like me and everyday supporting me (and everyone else)!! Sometimes I'll go a week or two without saying anything, but I still log in and read everyone's daily comments and get strength from them.  I love this place; I've never felt so supported and encouraged!    :-* :-*

Kfaith, shrinking your is easy. Open the pic with microsoft office picture manager, click on edit, then resize. Now choose predefined width and height. Using the drop down menu choose the email large option then click ok. Now "save as" the picture with with a unique name so the original pic isn't affected.

The resulting picture should now be less than 128k which is the maximum size allowed in a post.  ;)

Enjoy your pumpkins!

Umpa, I am decorating too , I love to put out pumpkins, mums, scarecrow, indian corn, bittersweet etc. I worked as a professional floral designer for a few years and there's nothing I love more than decorating with such things. I put a fall wreath on my front door and fall garden flags flying. I leave that up till Thanksgiving than put out our Christmas decorations.
Thanks Doug I will try to see if I can shrink the pictures.

Bittersweet is a vine that grows in the wild or you can buy it at garden stores and plant in  your garden.  Come fall the berries turn a very bright orange, looks gorgeous in arrangements or just hanging in big bunches.  Seems like my daddy once told me old timers made a salve out of it.

Umpa, garden centers sell them and you have to have a male and female vine and it takes a few years  for them to get going good just give them something to trail on like fence or lattice .... should do well at your nc cabin.

Congrads KFAITH on your weight loss! It amazed me too! I was just so used to eating, because I have two teenage boys who would eat us out of house and home  ;D if we let them. and at dinner I would just keep on eating because I knew there wouldn't be any left! But, now, thanks to Doug and everybody else, I have learned to eat only when hungry. Who would've thought that I would EVER get full off of half a thing of tofu?! I had that for dinner last night, and didn't eat a thing the rest of the night. So I've gotten a lot better about how and what I eat. Now, it's just second nature.

Hi snobles! :)

After a while, portion control does become second nature.
Actually, it's FAR more natural than overeating.
What you do today is what matters!
