Nuts/Beans
« on: August 31, 2011, 09:00:45 AM »
There may have already been a post about this but does the book list what nuts or beans are acceptable to eat?  I read the book at a friends house but then bought my own (just waiting for it in the mail), I'm a huge nut and bean eater though so thought I would ask in advance.  Thanks!

Hi Xtremesteph! :)

I eat almonds, walnuts, pecans, peanuts, sunflower seeds (shelled), and macadamia nuts.
The peanuts are the highest net carbs with 3 per ounce.

But be careful with all nuts... They can be like potato chips and easily overeaten.

Most beans are high in starch which makes them high in carbs. But there are a few exceptions.
For beans, I eat green beans, string beans, black soybeans (canned) and edamame (green soybeans).
What you do today is what matters!

ok thanks so much for replying!

Edamame is one of my favorite foods so i'm happy i can still eat those!  I see why now you use the beanut butter instead of the real PB.  I try to eat nuts in moderation because I can really do some damage on them haha
