Doug.....thanks for that speed of light response.    Yes, I will get the beans off to the Food Bank.    Is alcohol a complete no-no ??    I do enjoy a glass of red wine with dinner now and then or when visiting.   I'm a bit overwhelmed but need to do this so am very happy to be part of "the family".   Thanks for your welcome.

Welcome to the FTS forum Dianna.  You will find everyone very helpful and encouraging.  Doug is correct, sugar alcohols are on our Canadian labels as well, but only if there is a sugar substitute in the item.

If you are having trouble finding things at your local grocery stores, check out this thread:  http://fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=837.0
I have ordered a few times from the Low Carb Grocery in Markham, ON http://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/ and they have been great to deal with.  Not sure where in Canada you are, but I am in Southern Ontario and I placed an order last Tuesday at 2pm and my parcel was at my local post office (yes, I'm a small town girl) the next morning.  One of the items I ordered wasn't available so they called me to tell me.

Good luck with your new journey, you will find this new lifestyle very easy to follow and to stick with.
